food is good but service is so so to the tourists because they know u will never come back. But the food is really good. My bread was hard but they have fresh bread to the regular guests. They didn't give me water but I have heard the waiter asked the table next to me in French. He probably didn't think I would understand it. He also didn't ask me how I would like my veau to be cooked. Just gave me a well done veal, although I prefer it to be less tender. But the food is good and the waiter can speak English. It's a busy place.

Thank you Yelp reviewers! We had a wonderful meal here, with very warm and welcoming service. Charming restaurant, good rapport value/price, unpretentious. Perhaps as can be expected by the French-only reviews (we went beginning of April) there were no tourists besides ourselves. We had an excellent Bordeaux wine, I got the cabillaud and he got the rognons de veau. The dessert special was really spectacular, a fruit ice is the best way I could describe it. One of our favorite dinners on our trip to France.

We arrived at reasonable hour for dinner and there were a few tables clearly open - but no one would speak to us or respond at all when I asked if there was a table available. It was really bizarre as I speak French and have lived here for a while, so I'm not sure what was up. My two friends and I gave up eventually and walked to a restaurant down the street.
