I am a New England native but have fond memories of eating Lobster Joint's lobster roll when I was in school in the city.

Many years later I returned and it was still great:

Meal: Connecticut Style Roll with side Brocolli with chilli flakes. Chicken Wings (great but little messy, but expected)

I came by to try out favorite from long ago, in hopes of improvements since my last visit and it surely has done so. The vibe is still pretty laid back, staff milling about, making drinks, chatting up guests, moving orders in and out. The space is clean and ready for folks to come in and grab a seat upon arrival. The food has improved, however it has not reached its LES days level, with exception for the fries, they are still stellar. My former student had a wonderful time, as did I. Hopefully the brunch menu will get a few additions.

So disappointed at this place. Visited NY after 5 years and this was on our list, only to find that maybe management and quality both went down the drain? Started with oysters which were ok. Then we had the calamari strips which completely lacked any flavor. Popcorn shrimp was ok. And now lobster rolls!!! Horrible! Came out with grey brown looking tiny picked bits of lobster, wth is this? We asked them why it looked old and tasted bad after a bite and they said oh when it cooks it looks this color. What???? I wanted to laugh. She took back the plate and said let me get you a new one (no we did not want a new one!!!) and brought out new rolls which again didn't taste as great. Never ever returning back here!

Everything was delicious except... the Lobster Mac and Cheese unfortunately. But I'd recommend going here

The lobster grill cheese is a must!

We ordered the warm lobster rolls and a side of the pickles and slaw. A+.

This place is awesome! It's so hard to find good lobster rolls in the nyc area but this place is it! It's a small hole in the wall place but the food is delicious. I ordered the Connecticut style lobster roll and it was super buttery and generously loaded with lobster. The fries were a plus for me as I like them a little more thick so that was a great addition. Oysters were good and fresh as well. It's a great spot for lunch- I would suggest eating there as seafood is best when fresh right away. Check this place out if you're in greenpoint you won't regret it!

Food was amazing and just as good as anywhere in New England minus the drive. Cheese burger sliders were juicy and perfectly seasoned, surprisingly from the namesake of the restaurant.

Friendly service and great family atmosphere. We went at 4:30 PM on a week night so our party of 11 had the whole place to our selves. Thanks for the great food and service!

Super comfy spot! Rustic, casual, inviting. Excellent lobster rolls. Friendly neighborly staff. The winner is the Lobster Claw Bloody Mary. Two thumbs up.

Amongst some of the best food I've eaten all summer.

The fish and chips was fresh, crispy, hot and seasoned very well. That tartar sauce served with the fish and chips was also very good. I need the recipe!

I also ordered the lobster roll with onion rings. The lobster was fresh and cooked well. It wasn't at all chewy or overdone. The onion rings were tooooo good. Crispy, slightly sweet and my favorite part, not greasy at all.

My least favorite thing ordered was the Mac and cheese. The downfall being it had no flavor and desperately needed a pinch of salt. It was hot and cheesy but didn't taste like cheese if that makes sense. It was very "milky" in flavor.

Overall great spot with good prices. I just might stop here for lunch again this week.
