Mellow Mushroom - Alpharetta - Milton

They will get a 2/5 from me. We ordered a house special pizza tonight and it was the worst pizza we have had in a long time. Until now we have never been disappointed by Mellow Mushroom. We have been eating there for ten years at this location. The manager just apologized and that was all. We were not looking for anything free but the manager did not anything to make the situation better. If this is going to be their standard, frozen pizzas are not bad and 1/3 the price.

Go see Susie! She is the best! Hands down best service around, always friendly and welcomes you with a smile.

Went in and saw a sign on the door that said " Closed, Pick up welcome" so we decided to go in and ask if we can place an order togo at the counter and the man started explaining to us very rudely that he's turned all the ovens off and to read the sign. The sign was very misleading given we assumed we were able to get a pizza for carry out. Them not being able to seat us was not an issue, it was the nasty attitude he had as if we were supposed to know upon entering that they turned the ovens off. The man had an accent and was middle aged.

I have been coming to this MM almost weekly for years. The pizza is great and the staff is friendly. The salad is always fresh. It tends to be crowded at lunch, especially with large groups from local offices, so you might want to time your visit so you don't arrive between 12-12:30. Or call ahead if you have a bunch of people. Outdoor seating is covered and generous. It's on the parking lot but not by the road so it's not noisy.

I would like to say that I haven't always loved their pizza BUT it has grown on me. I really like their beer cheese with the Parmesan pretzel bites! Nom nom!

They have a bar but don't have experienced bartenders. I ordered a drink that the young lady didn't know how to make. So I tried to go with a shot but they don't carry cognac. So lastly I ordered a beer and I was told I couldn't have it because they "didn't have the button in the system to ring it in". I almost canceled my 2 pizzas because that is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. But we won't be back none the less. While I appreciate both young ladies being honest about their lack of bartending skills, it's unfortunate that they didn't have one person in the building who could figure it out. I'm not sure if they bothered to ask a manager or supervisor. Hopefully my pizza is good, otherwise I'm walking out. And yes I've had plenty of time to sit and write this review while THIRSTY because I haven't been offered water either. #FAIL

Disappointed with this mellow mushroom. My bf went to pick up our order today at this location. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, two chocolate chip cookies and a gallon of lemonade.

The pizza was fine, but it was so oily! The oil was just pooling in the pepperoni slices and we had to use a paper towel to get the excess out.

The cookies were both STALE. They only had one chocolate chip left so they gave us a sugar cookie to replace the other one. Both were literally hard as a brick. We couldn't even take a bite of it - it was that hard. Both went straight in the trash.

Set at the bar, was the only patron at the bar, and still had terrible service. There is maybe 4 ppl total in the restaurant. Got a drink order, but no one has been back in 15 minutes to check on me. There are 3 lids sitting at a table doing nothing.

This place is a joke ! Don't pay with cash or they will think it's fake money lmao after showing them more cash I had I left the pizza and anything from them there. Actually have a marker to confirm it's fake rather then having the eagle eye idiots. Will not recommend I felt a vibe as soon as I walked in I should've known lesson learned.

We love mellow mushroom pizza, especially the crust, and frequent the restaurant around the Atlanta area; however, this particular MM was not as consistent. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food. Ordered carry out for two large pizzas and a Greek salad. The pizza had too much oil sitting on top of the pepperoni and the pizza, itself- the box was saturated with oil. The pizza was stone cold and we only drove 3 miles from the restaurant.
The salad was sub-par with huge chunks of the lettuce you typically throw away. It was clear the salad was the gross ice berg from a bag, not fresh romaine lettuce- the way it should have been!
We ordered online and arrived 15 minutes early, the restaurant did have the pizza ready which we appreciated and the chopped ingredients on the salad were good but again, the lettuce (which is primarily what a salad is composed of, was inedible).
This type of shortcut with the pizza and salad is unacceptable and deters me from returning. This area has tons of other pizza restaurants with higher quality product.
