Mischbar

I was on my way back to my tour group but wanted something cool to drink after a long walk on a hot day, and I stumbled across this place. The menu had alot of options for healthy food and drinks, and I ended up getting one of their juices. I ordered the Eye Opener, an apple, lemon, ginger, & mint juice. My pressed juice was incredibly refreshing and I quite enjoyed it.

The medium sized drink was about 4 euros.
Clean beautiful interior.
Friendly service.

Healthy organic salad, fresh juices and small amount of rice dishes.

It is under the building and tuck in a corner. Location is next to a river so you get nice breeze and clean bathroom
downstairs. Location is good especially on a hot day when most places in Germany don't have AC or they open the door with AC on so it is warm inside. It is near the Christmas market.

Their bread is ok. You can get any amount you want.

We love the bird cage style solarium seating area，but today it is hot and no one wants to sit inside.

So we opt for seat next to the river. No one clean the table and it is sticky. We wipe and take away trays of previous customers. No one come out to wipe tables. If they don't plan to clean, at least leave some wet wipes for customer to clean tables ourselves.

What we ordered:
1. Chicken tikka masala with rice. 7€ -4.7 stars- It is only on the board. Very tasty. Price is not listed anywhere. Only find out you can order larger size when I see people eating.

2. Chicken avocado salad with corn. 9.6€ -4.0 stars- tasted ok, fresh. Too much dressing. Chicken tasted it has been brined.

I love healthy concept restaurant.

Alright, so it's time for an update here! I stopped going here last winter due to a bunch of reasons and after visiting it yesterday I really need to list them here:

- The free WiFi (which was my real reason for coming here) stopped working and they never got round to fixing it. I even offered them help with resetting the router but they just couldn't be bothered.
- The new staff is insanely inattentive and unfriendly. Being ignored for a few minutes is something I hate when the store is half empty!
- Cleanliness. The Tables were dirty even though the place was nearly empty (one table had people sitting there, the others were dirty).
- The quality of the food seems to have dropped somehow... while the soups are still great, the bagels and wraps are not very tasty and nobody can give you info on the ingredients. There was a woman who ordered a bagel before me wanting to know the ingredients because she was allergic to something... and the staff told her they had no clue and she should order something else.. way to go people!

To summarize it into one sentence: This place has gone downhill & needs a do-over!

Fantastic little spot with a view - and delicious food!

A fellow Yelper told me about this place and I simply had to check it out. The first thing that confused me a little is the fact that I couldn't make out whether it's a restaurant or a coffee shop. It sort of is both...

You can eat soups, Curry (very Thai-focused), Chilis, several different kinds of salads and top it all up with the toppings you wish. On the other hand they have a fabulous variety of drinks, including coffee, hot chocolate, chai tea, juices, etc., all of which have acceptable prices (food ranges between 4.90€ - 7€, drinks are around 2-3€)
Eventually I went for Chili con Carne & Passion fruit juice - it was both fantastic, and the Chili was neither too spicy nor too bland.

Although it sort of is a restaurant, they only serve you at the counter and you'll have to wait for your food, which can take a while if there are some people in line in front of you - the waitress was super friendly but a tad slow..

The location itself is brilliant and very inviting, the indoor seating, however, is not too comfortable and it might happen that you end up involuntarily snuggling up to the person sitting behind you, as it's a wee bit too small inside. You can also sit outside on the "bridge" overlooking the Pegnitz, but it's often really crowded and people walk past your table all the time, which definitely kills the atmosphere.

Nevertheless, I really liked this place, and I will be back! =)

Bottom line:
* Great location...
* ...but too many people walking by outside
* ...and you might get cosy with your seat neighbours inside
* Fantastic food: soups, salads & curry
* Relaxed atmosphere & hipster paradise

Great break from pork and potatoes. Very fresh and good ingredients. Very good selection of salads, waitress was very helpful in explaining the various choices. Would definitely go back.

Really good curries, juices and smoothies. Right next to the river. Very friendly service. The server took the time to translate the menu for us into English. It was a perfect break from the heavy meat oriented Bavarian food we've been having.

In the Mischbar you can have a healthy and very very tasty Juice, smoothy, soup or small meal or any other drink


Everything they use is organic and everything you get is fresh and has been prepared a couple of seconds before.


The best about it is: It is NOT crowded.
It is in a side street in the middle of old town and only insiders know it.
In this place you can escape to the masses of people in the Starbucks and other mass processing coffee shops.

I just love it there! Awesome food and nice stuff!
