I go to this wonderful venue only once per month but have such a relaxing time I hope to increase my attendances.

I like the steam room, good for my Asthma, I like all the pools, especially the one with the huge fish ready to impale someone (see picture) !!

I chat to anyone who will chat back....

I spend three or four sessions in the steam room during the day, topping up my liquids with mango juice or water. I lie flat out in the main pool area and catch up on the news in the dailiies and monthlies available.

At 1 pm I go for for lunch, usually the buffet which is superb. Then I have a kip and then after a shower I go back into the steam room for one last time.

I go there early morning and leave about 4 pm, feeling good.

Sometimes I take for granted how relaxing this place really is, that is, until I walk outside and forget where we've left the car. That's partially to do with me going a bit nuts, but I always leave feeling rested, much lighter and incredibly happy.

You don't get ultra modern neon-lit eternity pools, but a place where normal people (the ones that appreciate the nice environment that's been created there) can totally chill out.

With a separate changing area for members and non-members, there's always a lot of space, secure lockers and hot showers on the way in. Once you get inside robes and sandals are encouraged as everything is quite spread out.

My highlights include the giant tepidarium, containing 33 ceramic loungers heated to approx. 35 degrees to soothe the entire body. Each lounger has its own head phone socket, so you can bring your headphones and relax to your choice of music. There's also two large pool, a 49 seat spa pool with massage jets, a hydrotherapy flotation tank (with over 1.5 tonnes of salt in!) and an aromatherapy steam room.

Additional things to consider are a fantastic cafe-style restaurant, where you can lounge about and eat. They do the best salads I've had anywhere outside of my home (I just like fresh ingredients and knowing what's gone into something). And the beauty salon does an exclusive range of body butters/scrubs/bath foams in ever changing varieties. I fell in love with the raspberry milkshake 'flavour' a few years ago, and I haven't been disappointed since. My last purchase was angel cake bath melt (a thick bubbling foam) and hot butter fudge shower gel. Oh my.

There are three basic ways to go. One, buy a special experience pass (from £65 for entrance, a treatment and 'light supper', upwards).
Second, a spa membership ranging from £9 a month for 3 visits a year up to £30 a month for 12 visits, all on top of a £99 joining fee.

Or, a combined membership with the MASSIVE Pulse 8 gym across the way (literally a one minute from the spa). It's about £500 (sheesh) joining fee, then £80ish pounds for full come-any-time-you-like membership to gym and spa, then gets less as you strip away visiting at certain parts of the day. Just like most gyms and spas really.

Either way, we joined at Christmas time a few years ago. It was on a special offer with no joining fee and one visit per month for £15. Bargain! It pops up at the same each year and often during Summer. I'd recommend holding out for that, because it's SO worth it.

Time flies in nirvana spa, but from the moment you robe up the outside world disappears. I went with a group and we paid £35 each for around 4 hours of access to the facilities, next time I go I think that I would pay more for longer as there is so much to do. I really enjoyed the jet pool, the sauna and steam rooms however as it was a lovely day I spent most of my time there in the outdoor hot tubs. It felt like we were in another country, on a proper long holiday rather than an hour outside of London on a day trip and that is the beauty of the place.

The snacks and drinks were top notch, and tasted that much better for being eaten and drunk while wearing robes. There is ample water all over the place which is a lovely touch. Staff are friendly, helpful and always happy to provide extra towels.

Will definitely be looking into the membership options, and am planning my next trip!

I was lucky enough to be taken to Nirvana Spa for my birthday. Because of this I can't really comment on the price, only the experience.

We had a "spa experience" including full use of the spa (for over 4.5 hours), a flotation treatment and a light meal.

The spa itself is comfortable, with clean and light changing rooms, towels/robes provided and friendly, helpful staff. As a visitor, we had access to the jacuzzi pool (with various waterjets and bubbly bits), the tepidarium (a huge quiet room with heated ceramic loungers), a steam room, single-sex saunas, monsoon showers, two swimming pools and the cafe/restaurant.

The flotation treatment was relaxing to say the least - the large circular pool is insanely salty so that you float without any effort. You are encouraged to lie back and relax while you float around for 40 minutes. On exiting, we were plied with various N-Spa products and pointed towards another bank of showers.

The included meal was from a salad bar and included plenty of variety (including meat). All soft drinks were included and you could drink as much as you wanted at no extra charge. The cafe also served an a-la-carte menu, a variety of cakes and alcoholic drinks.

I'm not your usual suspect for a health spa, but I can honestly say that it was intensely relaxing and exactly what was needed during the dark winter months.

This luxury day spa is one if the best I have visited. They have 6 natural spring fed pools, including a members only pool and a floatation pool, as well as aroma steam rooms, monsoon showers, plunge pools, a relaxing ceramic lounge room and many treatment rooms.

They have a list of pre-bookable treatments, using Clarins, Jessica Nails and their own brand of spa products, or you can just use the facilities to relax. their cafe is fantastic, including the salad bar, and their range of homemade cakes is very tempting.

They have the Pulse 8 gym next door, as well as tennis courts and fantastic changing facilities. It was a great day out, and I have now joined as a member.

This place is just divine. I have never felt so relaxed anywhere, the setting is perfect, and the staff work hard to make everyone feel welcome.
Last night I tried the floatation for the first time - bliss.

The spa pool pummels you with powerful jets of water, the relaxation pool is serene. I've yet to go in the Roman Pool, which is a more social area. The heated loungers are a wonderful place to lay and read.

The treatments are carried out in private rooms, the beds are soft and heated - I could have easily falled asleep.

The aromatherapy steam room, complete with twinkling lights above is wonderful, and you can follow it with a monsoon shower.

Just go. It's hard to explain how this place is head and shoulders ahead of any other spa I've been to

I have only been to this spa 5 times. I love it. The whole atmsphere is a relaxed one. By the pool they have sunloungers and magazines for people to read. They have Palm tree settings just like your on holiday.
The floatation pool is great. It is dark (when you get going) with star like ceiling lights. Peaceful music in the background.
Now beware as the pool is salt water and it will sting, so its advisable not to go in if you have just shaved or have any open cuts/wounds.
The jets spas are also very good and work in the needed areas.

It is a very clean environment and the staff are friendly.

A perfect way to relax, unwind and let those troubles float away!
