Was originally with the clydebank branch until it was closed and transferred here. Since then only once have I got my contacts from then and that was at start. Since then, I've never been notified of lenses being there despite money being taken from my account every month. I've been advised they had tried to contact me on several occasions via phone, however as someone who works and cant always answer the mobile, there has never been a voicemail left for me or a note posted out to my house. Shocking service, direct debit cancelled and business taken elsewhere.

Don't let looks be deceiving. Despite having big brown eyes, I am blind as a bat!

Moving to another country, and getting reestablished is never a cakewalk. Before I moved over, I brought with me a 2-year supply of contact lenses to avoid seeing the eye doctor in the UK. But then, I was on my very last pair of lenses... which I desperately stretched from 1 month wear into 2 (I can see my ophthalmologist back in the US shaking his head at me right now).

So I bit the bullet... I did a bit of research online, and figured because this was quite convenient I would book an appointment. I phoned up, the woman was nice enough and instructed me to "wear my lenses to the appointment". Done. When I showed up to the shop, I checked in for my appointment, and the guy behind the counter looked at me disdainfully and said, "Do you have your contacts in?" "Yes, the woman on the phone said to wear them to my appointment." "You need to take them out." "Do you have any cases?" "No." What optician does not stock spare lenses cases for patients?! Or just in general or for purchase? Anyway, shortly after I was called back for my appointment into a very dirty grotty room, where I was sat down and spoken to like I was a disabled 5-year-old. I am not mentally challenged. I have three f'ing degrees, including a masters. Your representative on the phone instructed me to wear my lenses to this bloody appointment! Irate, I left without an examination, prescription, or new lenses. I probably should have known better with the word "Express" in the name to steer clear... because it certainly was a waste of time, and terrible customer service, indeed. GROWL.

Im writing this to everybody who cares about their health and especially eyes!!!

ok, I'm from China, and studied in uk and switzerland. I have been in short sighted for more than 10 years.

In 2011, I went to Optical Express did a FREE eye test as a new customer just because my contact lenses were used up. Finally after 2 weeks I got my contact lenses which is not very comfortable to be honest comparing to the one i used to wear.

In 28 June 2012, I moved to London, went to a branch of this brand again because i thought they might have my customer database and prescription in record. So I can get my contact lenses faster.

After short conversation, they asked me to pay £20 for another eye test. then NIGHTMARES comes, from 28 Jun till today which is 21 Aug I haven't got my contact lenses yet and even the RIGHT prescription. During this period, I went to that store more than 5 times, they changed my prescription and order trials again and again, every time they just ask me to wait for their calls but the thing is I haven't received any calls.

The ridiculous things is, today i have my prescription printed out from them and it is WRONG because the supplier does not have that prescription matched contact lenses.... (I m too angry so I went to Specsaves to check) It cost me £51 for 3 months supply and £91 in Optical Express the exact same contact lenses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I might ask what is the rest £40 for??? for the service which spent me 7 weeks without any results???

All i want to say is, Optical express is just not responsible for their patient at all, they have no sense regarding to time matter, health care; all they cares about are SELLS and PROFIT. the opticians of them are trained to be lier as well!!!

Sorry i don't want to write the whole story .... but just remember Do not even step in this brand, Trust ME!!! and you will never regret.
