Paulaner am Kirchplatz

This is a Stuttgart institution. The food is traditional and solid. The Paulaner beer is outstanding. .

Great German Food and Beer with a Friendly Staff. Convenient distance from the Stuttgart Airport for a quick quality German dinner. Pricing is fair and ambiance was nice. Will go again when in town.

We were looking for a traditional German restaurant and found this one online. Super cute beer garden set up in front of the restaurant but it was way too cold to sit outside. This place is recommended to have a reservation but with a little bit of hesitation, they still took us in without one. As soon as we put in our order, there were so many people coming in and filling up all of the tables.

German food is generally very salty and it was no surprise that this place was salty.. but nothing a beer can't fix (PROST) !! They had lots of variety in drinks and food. I got the Potato Jacket (baked potato with sour cream and chives) and Steak. Mine had a pretty good balance with the mixed salad but the Pork Chop and Gravy was heavy and way too salty. None of the dishes we had were mind blowing, however, the atmosphere and experience was great.

Paulaner, not just great beer but food too. This is a local and tourist favorite so you might want to make reservations. Getting here by train is easy and within walking distance of Echterdingen. Parking can be a bit challenging so you might want to research parking garages before heading out. There is a garage not too far away but you really need to have a small car. Parking lot is tight.

We were looking for something nearby the hotel that was a little more traditional than many of the places around the hotel that cater to Americans.

This place was it. The architecture of the building was amazing and the interior of the restaurant was pretty unique as well.

Nearest we could tell we were the only Americans in the restaurant out of roughly 50 patrons. Most of the staff spoke English and they did have English menus.

The food was very good. My party had a range of foods from schnitzel and salads to more traditional German sausage. Everyone seemed very pleased with their food.

There was also a very large beer selection.

really great spot. got a baked potato and the dumplings with mushroom cream sauce, a side of kraut and my friend got roast beef and dumplings. everything was soooooo good. the kraut was probably the best i've ever has. really peppery and mustardy. pavel was lovely and helpful and called us a cab when there were no übers around. thank you pavel!

Absolutely delicious food, good beer, great atmosphere and serrvice. It's not the first time I am eating in this restaurant and definitely will come back. Today I ate salad with spinach and meat pockets. My plate is empty and I wasn't hungry when I came to the restaurant.

I've been to this location a few times - it's nice for a date night or a get together with friends. The food is good, though not the best German food in town. If the weather is good I would recommend sitting outside because inside it's rather dark. There's a garage near the restaurant but street limited is a bit limited.

It's great. Great Beer - Great Food. Leave your calorie counting at the door. Highly recommend the apple strudel.

Great service and great atmosphere. Beer Garden is a great place to relax and have a great meal, or just a beer. Food came out fast and it was delicious. Short walk from Moxy, Holiday Inn or IBIS.
