The best bell pepper mushroom cheesesteak I have ever had. The bread was soft and easy to bite into. The steak was tender and flavorful. The sauce it was drenched in was bomb too.
Service was great. Came here on an afternoon during a weekday and it wasn't crowded. Not sure how it is during the weekends.
Parking is available in the front or anywhere on Westwood where you see metered parking.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 29. Nov. 2017
I may have only been here one time, but I am constantly craving their Philly Cheesesteak!! The meat quality is stellar, the way they cook the steak sandwich is excellent (not too oily), and the portions are big given it's so inexpensive!!
The fries are also great too, not too overwhelmingly potato-y.
The bartender was really sweet and attentive too. The bar has such a great, comfortable vibe! I haven't been there for a game yet, but I bet it's a fun scene to be in!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ronald M.Inglewood, Vereinigte Staaten114825727. Dez. 2019
I drive by this restaurant almost every day and I've been meaning to try their Philly cheesesteaks for a while now. I love Philly cheesesteaks and it's hard to find a good place in Los Angeles. I finally went in on my day off and I have to be honest, the Philly cheesesteak was just OK. The service was great but the food itself was ehh. My hunt for a good cheesesteak continues.
They serve beer and have TVs so that was cool. The inside is nice.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 15. Aug. 2019
I've always driven by this spot and decided to check it out. I'm not a Philly cheesesteak expert, but I thought these were great! They're severed with a bit of marinara sauce inside the sandwich, which I wasn't sure I would like, but it turned out to be really tasty.
I got the mushroom cheesesteak, and I would definitely go back for it, especially since it was under $8. It's a pretty casual vibe; sports bar with TVs and such.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Cheri D.Santa Monica, Vereinigte Staaten037. Nov. 2022
I miss you! I miss my traditional hoagie sandwich with a nice IBC cream soda!

Never had marinara on a cheesesteak before. It was applied modestly (3/4 oz.) and I liked it. And, the marinara combined well with the mayo and ketchup I added on. Wouldn't have liked the combo if it was spread in large amounts.
Cheesesteaks are served with marinara, white American cheese, grilled onions, and thinly sliced ribeye. The ribeye probably should have been been diced or chopped up. The best part was the roll it was served on... the bread that soaked up the juices from the meat, sauce, and condiments. A cheesesteak and a small order of fries was the right sized meal (looks a little small, but isn't). The fries themselves were very good... thick and served without salt.
Next time I come in, I'll try one of the Hoagies. There's parking in the back, but no the restaurant doesn't have a back door that connects, so you have to walk around. That's a bit of an oddity/detractor (but it doesn't affect my food rating).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alen L.Westwood, Los Angeles, Vereinigte Staaten122208375. März 2019
3.5 stars.
Affordable old-school, classic dive bar with cheap food options and draft beer selection since 1991.

Pros:
- Old fashioned sports theme decor.
- Friendly bartender server.
- TVs to watch games.
- Cheap bar food options.
- Open during daytime.
- Belgian draft white ale.
Cons:
- Small establishment.
- Street parking only.
Conclusion: The food satiated my cravings, it wasn't amazingly great, but it was good and it was cheap by West LA standards. The bartender was friendly to me. I went here for lunch takeout, but this place seems like a good dive bar local watering shed neighborhood later afternoon hangout. Don't come here expecting anything more.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hunter N.Los Angeles, Vereinigte Staaten116213. Juni 2020
I've been going to this place for 10+ years. I usually drop my car off at blue wave ($50 for $30) and go sit at the bar and put back a cheesesteak and a brew or two. Over the years I've learned to love it, and especially the lady barkeep during the day. I didn't go for 2 years (moved for work) and when I stepped back in it was like I never left. She still remembered my cheesesteak order! I think maybe she just reminds me of my mom... but a mom that approves of my drinking . Also, the characters that come through this place is a great bonus. You'll get some sports fans debating back and forth or maybe just an unusual person you wouldn't normally talk to.
I guess it's worth mentioning that I have only ever been to this place in the evening one time for a game, and left because I couldn't get a drink due to overcrowding. Much different atmosphere.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chung H.San Francisco, Vereinigte Staaten1813124810. Jan. 2018
First time having a Philly cheesesteak, this place was recommended by a coworker as a pretty divey local pub/bar with really good cheesesteaks.
Definitely call ahead if you have a large group over 10 I'd say. Because it seems mostly quiet. TVs in all directions playing all the different sports.
Ordered the peppers mushroom cheesesteak standard. Was pretty good, good amount of steak and cheese. Wished the bun was a bit less chewy but it was fine. $6.75 only though so quite a bargain.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 14. Juli 2017
dive bar. this is what west LA was like in the 80s or 90s. a charming dive. never would have discovered this place without yelp. it's discreetly located on westwood slightly south of santa monica blvd.
walked in on a lazy sunday afternoon between lunch and dinner. had a few adult beverages that were moderately priced. but the real killer here was the philly cheesesteak. cheesy goodness with a great bun. the cheese fries were addictive with that nacho cheese.
bartender was friendly. patrons when we were there all seemed to be regulars in their 40s and 50s. but i can see the bar take on a totally different character based on the time of day. quiet on a sunday afternoon, which i didn't mind.
lots of tv's on various sports channels. definitely a philly bar with sports decor of all the philly pro teams.
check it out.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0
