I went in this morning to buy myself a bike. Why? I don't know, I just wanted to be active and do something else besides boring running. I did my research and I knew I wanted to get the most bang for my buck with a Giant. I went to the store to check them out. Greg helped me out and was super friendly and answered all my questions. I'm a quick decider so I went for it.

Later on at night, about 20 minutes before they closed my family and I showed up. My wife wanted a bike since I got one and wanted to tag along. Anyways, we show up and I look out for Greg and he again was friendly, remembered our earlier conversations and let my wife try out bikes she liked and then even my daughter walked out with a bike. They stayed open 30 minutes after closing time and were very friendly the entire time. My two year old was running around taking bells from the sales racks and Greg engaged him in a very friendly way and my son even started asking questions and he is usually shy.

Good place and atmosphere. Will definitely be my place to go to for my future bike stuff needs.

Last week I took a 33 year-old Bianchi in for servicing. Aaron put the wheels back on, examined the bike carefully, and explained what had to be done and then suggested what else should be done. He really wanted me to fully restore the Bianchi but he wasn't pushy. He obviously knew his business well and communicated in a professional and yet personal way. I enjoyed the interaction and learned to trust Aaron completely. He also introduced me to another service guy who really enjoys puns.

I mentioned to the two guys that I was thinking about getting either a Giant Cypress DX or a Giant Sedona because I have neck issues and those bikes let the rider sit up higher. They both recommended that I check out the Specialized Roll.

Tim showed me the Roll Sport, after listening to my physical condition and seeing that I am 67. He explained the value of getting the Sport instead of the base model. The service team then checked out the bike and Tim took me to the parking lot to try the bike out. I liked it and bought it. The service team set up the bike for me, did a more comprehensive prep on it, and delivered it to me in about 15 minutes.

The people who rang the sale up were super-friendly. One was training a newbie, so that slowed the process down but the bike was already being prepped, so no time was lost.

Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional, knew their stuff, and helped me to enjoy the service process and the sales process. The backlog to service the Bianchi was about nine days. I'll let you know how that turns out.

It takes me about 30 minutes to drive to their business but it's certainly worth it.

Both my kids got their bikes here. They are so great! Great service and helpful experts. They put us in the best bikes for growing kids. They have a great selection of Specialized bikes. We will continue using them for our biking needs.

Amazing service and it was FREE. I brought my bugaboo stroller in because the wheels were coming off and one was flat. Joey was super friendly and knowledgeable! It only took like 10 minutes for him to get the wheels both on the rim and aired up. He made sure they didn't have leaks and walked me out bc I had my infant with me. Bugaboo said my stroller was out of warranty and wanted $200 to replace my two wheels! Thank you Joey & Plano Cycling and Fitness .

Just heart breaking that Plano Cyclery is closed. A wonderful shop with people that really know bikes cycling. Downside of the internet for sure.

Won't be bringing my bike back here for service EVER again. After having been a customer for a couple of years. I've had my 2 1/2 year old bike tuned up here twice. Both times I've had nothing but headaches afterward, but this last one was a complete nightmare. Started in April. New cables & a new chain. After each tune up the shifting turns into an argument for each & every gear. I ride the hills in Rockwall & I need gears. The day after I got it back, the chain got knotted up in the front derailleur. And had difficulty shifting. And they turned my "right handed loading" bottle cages around to be left handed, whaaaa??They came out to fix it & put washers on the pedal crankset(?) & told me I might need new pedals. Wha?? It continued to drop the chain & have trouble shifting. Aaron kept insisting I needed the "chain watcher" to solve the problem. He finally said he would not adjust the derailleur anymore unless I let him put the chain watcher on. So I relented. New problem. Now it's shifting a little better, but grinding & clunking the whole way, AND the chain is rubbing so badly I can't use 4 gears. Keep in mind, NONE of these problems occurred until after they worked on it. Back to the shop. Needs a new cable guide. A known defect on cannondale carbon bikes (mine is aluminum) but this should solve the front derailleur problems. Mostly did. But the rear derailleur problems were as bad as they were back in April, & it jumps up 2-3 rings all by itself whenever it feels like it! Oh, they ran new cables again. OH! I have to deal with lousy shifting for 30 days, then the cables should be seated & they can stretch them and THEN I'll be able to shift again. No one. Not one other person there has said this in 3 MONTHS of me bringing the bike back and back and back and back. And, I asked Aaron if it was 30 days or if miles mattered. "No, not at all". So if I ride 600 miles in 30 days or 60 miles in 30 days it's all the same. Right. Now for the nightmare part- if I dared to disagree with Aaron, I was being "discourteous". I needed to calm down. If I questioned anything he said I was being
"discourteous". If I said Dana told my this & they said he didn't, I was being "discourteous". I never yelled, cussed or called them idiotic booger brained boys, but I needed to "trust my bike mechanic". All the while listening to them breaking their arms patting themselves on the back for the great customer service they offer & how many, many decades of experience they all have & "aren't we all just wonderful"?!? I might agree if one, just one of them had fixed the problem THEY created, gave me the same diagnosis more than once or didn't come up with every other thing they could think of to do to my bike, except to actually do something different in their tune up.

Here is Kyle's reply. What a bunch of jerks.

I love the customer service @ this shop! Where else can you go and get expert mechanics, who are willing to come to your home to try to fix your problem!?!?! Where else will the knowledgeable staff help you troubleshoot your problem, no matter how many times you struggle!?!?! No wonder these guys have 5 stars!

My bike needed a few adjustments before riding in an upcoming ride. They took care of me immediately. Great pricing and great service. They won over my business. And I will tell everyone I know about them.

I went in to get a tune up on my bike and was told that I didn't need a tune up...my bike was working great. I had a pedal replaced while there and was charged half of what I thought it was going to be. PCF has excellent customer service on every level. Highly recommend!!
