What a con!. You and five mates pay like £40 once a week to get kicked the hell out of by over-weight crazy people. It is expensive, and you realise that this Power League company are raking in the money. But then the alternative is try get yourself some floodlights, a referee and a decent playing surface and see how much it costs you. In that sense, maybe it's not expensive. And after all, it's football. So it's worth it.

If you love football and love playing - then this is great. Get a few friends together, start a team and join a league. You get to play every week. The other team will be thugs and the referee will be completely bias towards them as he's scared and some weeks teams won't turn up -- but this is the most fun a person can have without taking their clothes off.

The changing rooms are clean, the bar has drinks in it, and the goals have nets which aren't broken. What more could you want?. Not only that but the other team is normally better and their star striker will often have his hot blonde girlfriend watching from behind the pitch. This may be seen as a negative but seeing her face after you've 'accidently' bundled her boyfriend into the wall is priceless.

Seriously, this is great fun. We aren't good enough to be pro, we're too lazy to play for 90 minutes in the cold on a Sunday - but spending an hour running around a 5 a-side pitch with your friends is as good as it gets.
