I went in December so I saw the Christmas market. It was so cute with its wooden green sheds and its main big wooden green shed type house that sold the famous Kathe Wohlfahrt decorations. The stalls sold all sorts of things from the smoking men, lights, tree decorations, mulled wine, food etc. In the middle of the market was a merry go round with a difference as instead of the traditional horses it had a fire engine, motorbikes, etc on it and in the middle a Christmas tree I wish I was young again so I could of gone on it but alas I was too big and old. Above the market in the middle as well there is a model train that goes around so make sure to look up. From 2pm (then ever 2 hours) you can see santa (a real person) in a sleigh go across the market in the sky. When he gets to the middle of the market high above he says something in German I think he was saying Merry Christmas and talking about Christmas and his reindeers and then he will go back and forth. It was great to see even though I could not understand what he was saying. Don't miss it. So anyone that loves Christmas markets and traditional ones at that with cuteness then don't miss this one as in my opinion it is the best market in Hamburg.
