Loved walking around this place! Even if you don't buy anything, there's so much to look at!

Loved all the informative posters and cards, as well. Plus the views were great when I was walking around, outside. Sarah, the person working inside was incredibly helpful. I asked her all kinds of questions and she actually walked me around the store, finding things for me!

There's no bathroom though. The coffee shop across the parking lot does though, and it is a short walk.

Spent a good amount of time in here. Such a neat place, definitely a fun, different kind of shop in Estes Park!

Interesting selection of large rough specimens, some lovely polished large specimens and a variety of small collector pieces. Fun place for the kids too.

I went to Red Rose Rock Shop and Museum with my daughter in Estes Park, Colorado. It was a very cool shop with ALL kinds of rocks, stones, and gems. I've honestly never seen such an amazing rock/store before, so this was very fun! A place worth stopping by if you're into all different kinds of rocks/stones!

Great spot to peruse rocks and get a feel for the history of the area. Go to the back for a special display of the prior owner's collection.

If you don't go here, you must hate rocks.

I try to get out to Colorado every year and when I do, my very first destination is always Red Rose Rock Shop! They are very friendly and helpful and their selection - just amazing! I am gradually building a raw rock garden - you CANNOT beat their prices!!!!

A must see in Estes Park made all the more special because it is owned by family friends of my friend. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the river, and visiting the Rock shop. So much to see and we may or may not have brought rocks home. LOL

Stopped into this place before we were going to leave Estes Park. It's now called Dick's Rock Museum and it is appropriately named because that's exactly how the customer service was! We entered the store with no greeting and only stares. Mind you this place is small with barely any customers.

After browsing I decided to leave because I refuse to spend my money with people who refuse to talk to me. I looked at the lady behind the desk and wished her a good day. She thanked us for coming in, and I stated "I would have bought something but you didn't even say Hi" and walked smooth OUT!

Great scenery in that area though!

Really cool place if you're into rocks, like my 9 year old daughter. I took this trip without her. However, prior to my trip I'd looked up the area on Apple satellite maps and this store caught my eye. Why you ask? Well fun fact - the roof says Dicks Rock Shop written with rocks. I showed this to my daughter and she begged me to go visit it. It was cool. They had tons of nice gemstones and polished stone pieces as well as like goblets and plates made from polished stone which were pretty dope. We had picked out a large uncut geode for my daughter because we thought it'd be fun for her to actually get to open up. They priced these by the pound and we chose a dense, heavy one. When we got to the register the owner went to ring us out, we had a chat about how we were out of towners -small talk- and when he picked up the geode, he stopped and told us we needed to chose another. He said "yea we charge by the weight but honestly the lighter ones are the best." He went picked us one out and it was awesome when we opened it! Haven't polished it yet but it's full of crystals. He knew we wouldn't be returning customers and he chose us having a good experience over a few extra bucks! Class-act in my book.
