I was passing by as it's located next to my hotel. I can't express how much I'm in love with this place. I felt I was in Spain. The pulpo was amazing and the fish croquettes were Devine. The atmosphere is beautiful and the waiters are so funny they kept cracking us up laughing the whole night. So far this is the best experience I had in Berlin.
The waiting was too long though but they let us wait at the bar and gave us free drink and tapas.
I highly recommend this place for a great Spanish experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - E L.Millbrae, Vereinigte Staaten191622410. Feb. 2018
The staff here are the rudest I've ever seen. I tried to make reservations for three days. I was told to wait outside in the snow for two hours the first day I walked in at 7pm for my birthday dinner. The second day they hung up on me twice when I asked to make a reservation any time. The third day I had the hotel staff call for me at 4pm they said to call back at 6, I did. The staff said we are booked all night. I said you just opened what if I come right now. They said fine you can come but you'll wait.
Im sure the good and decor is great but when you treat customers like this you lose business. Even the best restaurants can tell someone they have a long wait nicely. After reviewing the reviews it's clear this is a management issue.
Get over yourselves.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kyle K.Berlin815798. Feb. 2016
We went here last night. The place is cozy, a lot of tables in a little space. We were given some sherry right at the start, which is nice. Ordered a potato appetizer that came with two sauces, and they were good. We had paella for dinner. It was good, not amazing, but the best we have had so far in Berlin. I got one drink and it was fairly week, so for the price I would get a beer next time.
All in all it was decent, I give it four stars, but would have liked to give it 3 1/2. Next time we want paella we will probably try somewhere new, but this will be a nice fallback option for sure.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Timothy K.Berlin0443529. Okt. 2018
Where do I start? An Institution maybe? Ja, seems about right! On of the places to go to when in Berlin. Believe me, I'm from there! Food: Great. Fresh fish, meat and incredible wine. The restaurant in itself is rather small, but cosy. Can be hard to get a table, however you end up getting one somehow. Slight downer is the often stressed personal due to it being so packed. However, they're still very polite spaniards. Always enjoy it there. My advice: Boquerones

The food was amazing: authentic, tasty, big portions, not pricy at all. On the other hand the service was VERY rude to us. And not only once. I personally had a very mixed feeling leaving this place.

I dined in El Borriquito last Saturday with a group of international friends and I don't feel like recommending this restaurant for the following reasons:
1. low quality of the food: we had several dishes with fish and meat (like mixed starter, paella with seafood and grilled meat) and the first was clearly frozen, while the second was covered of garlic so the flavour was completely misleading
2. low level of service: the first bottle of water arrived only after 30 min we were sitting at our table and we had to ask for it too many times, like for all the rest (cutlery, napkins etc.)
3. wrong billing: we were charged 25euros more than what was due, fortunately we checked the bill and ask to correct it
4. last but not least: while leaving, we accidentaly broke a glas and we have been rudely offended by one of the waitersHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
