Restaurant Le Lötschberg

Very good choice for an authentic taste of Switzerland. We enjoyed fondue with a great wine pairing

Had a fabulous dinner here! Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant as we wanted something authentic Swiss. We arrived at 5:45 and were told they were going to be full at 7:30 so we had to eat fast essentially but that timeframe was more than enough. The restaurant did indeed fill up with large groups and couples. Locals and tourists! The menu had English as well so that was great! We order the Gruner salat and it was delicious with a tangy dressing we ordered a medium size to split and it was plenty for 2 to share! For the mail course we for the Lötschberg Fondue and it was beyond decadent, rich and so so good! All the dishes around us looked great as well a local couple next to use got the cordon blue, he said he was dreaming about the dish all day, it looked so good that we thought about going back for lunch. Would 10 out of 10 recommend this restaurant.

We're vegetarians and we're looking for Swiss cuisine in Bern. The places that were recommended by locals didn't have Swiss cuisine, fondue, or didn't have vegetarian options. After visiting many places, we found this place. The main attraction was the friendly staff member that greeted us and allowed us to review the menu. He also kindly guided us through the different types of Swiss dishes. We ordered a few different dishes and all were great! The staff's attentiveness, especially one in particular, was unparalleled.

The food is a 4.5.
The service is 4.7.
Ambiance is 4.2.

While the restaurant isn't a five star, it would be an injustice to give the restaurant a 4.

Had fondue here. It was way too salty for me.

I don't know fondue is supposed to taste that strong because it was my first time trying it. But their fondue was way too salty that I couldn't even finish half of it. Plus the staff who served me was sooo unfriendly that kina ruined my appetite. Don't really recommend this place.

Was visiting Bern and was told this place has the best fondue. Ok great I'll check it out, we make it there and we sat ourselves down. In the fondue section for the large portion it says "2 people" so typically you think it means it's enough for two people. Well think again they charge you that price PER person. So that bill your expecting to be around 54 Euros ($63.00) ends up being more than 108 Euros ($126.00). 2 stars for ok fondue. No stars for getting ripped off.

Authentic Swiss food, cheese fondue was great. Rosti can be improved.. excellent service from the staff.. all of them is kind and friendly.. which lead to 5 stars meal!

Good find for local food. The service is nice. The fondue was pleasant and I liked the wine that was recommended to me.
This restaurant is located in a small square and seems popular with locals. There's a family feel to this place.

Came here with my local friend because well - you guessed it, we wanted to eat some Fondue. The portion per person is 25CHF which is pretty good for Swiss standards. If you decide to go for any of the other dishes, know that the portions are pretty big!

Nice atmosphere and good service. We were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel for typical Swiss food. We ordered to fondue and unfortunately you had to order a minimum for 2 persons -- which was quite pricey at around $60. The food was good - but overall to pricey for USA standards for the quality of food.

My daughter wanted fondue before we left Switzerland and that is why we picked this place. My daughter liked her salad ok and that is why I'm giving it 2 stars. I ordered the Peasant Dish with pork which was horrible and I only took two bites. I tried two different beers and neither were good. The service was below average. Look elsewhere.
