Restaurant Zunft zu Webern

The waitress was incredibly rude to us - once she knew we weren't from the area and didn't speak her language, she was cold and unwelcoming to us, despite our best efforts to communicate politely as best as we could.

The food was sub par - the bread was overly salty (borderline inedible, no matter how much you like salt) and the food was under-seasoned. For the kind of prices they were expecting, the quality did not deliver.

Ok, with local dishes. Spoke English. But we waited for-ever to get our beers and then for-ever to get our dishes! Some dishes were labeled "20 minute-wait". Ours weren't, but they came 35 minutes after ordering. All the other tables were at dessert or coffee, so it wasn't during lunch-rush.

I had a gazpacho soup, which I liked, but the other people in my party didn't like at all.

And the Oven cook fish with olive oil (Normal size) which was great. The problem was the service.

I am visiting Bern for for a few days now, and usually service in the city great and friendly, but in this case, all 3 waiters running around were just terrible, un friendly, it felt like they are doing us a favor for taking our order.

The recommend white wine was not good, I actually failed to communicate with the waiter about the type of wine I was asking, he was so impatient.

Finally, after reading the comments from the others, I must say it's not that bad. But it's not really enjoying place to eat. So I would not come back here and would not recommend as I'm convinced there are better places for the same price. What I've really found unacceptable is that a chief waiter (maybe the boss' wife?) was yelling on a younger new apprentice in front of the customers. Not acceptable at all!

The food was bad and the service was worse. The grilled chicken was dry and tasteless and the waiter, rachman, was rude and didn't know any answers to my questions. With so many great restaurants in Bern, go somewhere else.
