I needed some deep tissue massage while going through physical therapy for a shoulder injury. I found Rie via Yelp and was so happy that she is easy to schedule, via her web site, and on time and attentive to the specifics I needed for my shoulder.
She has a comfortable quiet single room space in the Hobart building that is easy to get to (near BART/MUNI montgomery stop).
Her multiple techniques, and intense pressure, worked miracles on my knots and tightness -- she delivers the best deep tissue massage I've ever had. I felt better after every single session.

Rie did a great job for my last-minute appointment. She applied the right amount of pressure and hit all my trouble areas. Lovely!

Rie is amazing and very professional! She is always on time and offers a variety of appointment times. She goes out of her way to make sure the environment is comfortable (heated bed/blanket/fans). She knows how to get all of the knots out and offers suggestions on stretching techniques. She's my go-to for massages. I always feel better and have increased mobility after my appointments with Rie.

Rie is an amazing massage therapist. She's one of the few people who actually can give deep tissue with great pressure. I actually went to her years ago when she was at spa j'adore and was super sad when I found out she left. I'm so glad she opened up her own spot and is conveniently located on Market in the FIDI. She has a one room office with a chair outside if you show up early and she's doing another massage. She's versatile in massage style and skilled in what she does. You will leave feeling the toxins worked out. She does corporate events also. Book online. It gives you availability even for the same day. Credit cards are accepted.

After a stressful & hectic day of work and obligations, I felt pampered to the fullest. Rie blended numerous techniques with some deep and soft tissue work, reducing my overall stress through out and putting my mind at ease. This makes me feel AMAZING when the massage treatment is paced so perfectly with just the right amount of pressure. She never rushes, definitely knowing exactly where my aches and pains are without having to emphasize it. A total added plus! I've had many massages by many massage therapists, but I would say no one I've ever seen is quite like her in regards to knowing just where I need some focused attention. Plus, she is pleasant, super patient and soothing. The massages with her have been phenomenal. Basically, I zone out for the entire time I'm laying on the table. I thoroughly enjoy all my massages with Rie and would recommend her to anyone.

I love love love Rie! If it is possible to have a massage therapist soulmate then Rie is mine. I have seen her on-and-off over the last year and I can't believe it took me this long to review her.

I have chronic back problems, specifically with a lot of tightness in my lower back, glutes, hamstrings, and psoas. I often wake up very stiff and it can take me a few hours to unwind. It's been a chronic issue for over ten years and I have tried a half dozen different people since moving to SF and Rie is the only one who provides consistent relief. She uses a combination of deep tissue massage and structural integration that leaves me sore when the appointment is over, but much more relaxed for the weeks following.

Her facility is well appointed, conveniently located on Market, and has a lovely calm feeling--much like Rie herself. She always checks in with me at the beginning of the appointment to see if I have any new issues and to see how I am feeling. I love that she remembers my specific issues, even when I don't see her for a few months. It shows a high commitment to attentiveness and instills a great sense of trust.

Any time one of my friends mentions wanting or needing a massage I tell them Rie's name. I cannot recommend her enough!

Rie is the best massage therapist I've come across. She is extremely thorough and effective with her sports massage technique. Better yet, she is always learning and incorporating new techniques which make the massage experience better each time I go.

I have a few injuries and medical condition and she works around these without any problem. She is very experienced and can find problem areas by "listening to the muscles" and knows just how to get the knots out. She has also created a very calm space free of distractions and uses some great aromatherapy. I usually don't go for aromas but she does it with taste and adds just enough to help you relax.

Rie is a very calm and personable masseuse and I feel lucky to have found her!

The ambiance of the facility was not what I expected when getting a massage, but Rie is well knowledge and able to focus on the areas of my body that needed the knots worked out.

Amazing! Rie is an incredible massage therapist. She listens and finds the right places. Very professional and friendly. This is one of the best massages I have ever had. She did some stretching with me as well and I clearly needed it. Highly recommended! Great easy location too.
