Beach Street

Outside waiting area. Located in a plaza off building, can see seating by the main street.
Came here wed morning around 8am, no lines at all.

Cool cashier, just the whole island vibe.

Ordered cappuccino, some drinks ONLY comes hot. It's listed on the menu. Would order again!

They have a lot of variety.

Also ordered an acai bowl with papaya add on- should've gotten the papaya bowl. Papaya was ripe and so good!!

There was a rooster beggar going around, he ended up getting a piece of the waffle as he waited so patiently! Haha

Coffee is very weak and it has flavoring of hazelnut, as if they did not clean the mug...also charge 75c for empty cup:(

Can't complain all the menu items are great and so is the service

Side note if you don't put ice cream in your shaved ice your a communist

Came here in the morning, no line.. got a coffee and rainbow shave ice

+ lot of good options from bagels to açaí etc
+ flavor of syrups in shave ice was good
+ had icecream at the bottom which I loved!!
+ convenient location near the beach
+ they have casual seating options

- little more of a bigger crushed ice texture than others I've had
- on the pricier side imo

FYI Melts quickly so might be hard to take to the beach

Quality/Quantity -
Paniolo Acai Bowl - No ice cream in this bowl, so it is healthier, LOL.
I actually liked this better than yesterday's acai bowl at Barefruit bar, probably due to the granola which gave this one more texture. The large size is currently not available.

They also serve breakfast, coffee, etc.

Atmosphere -
Small locally owned business.
Outdoor seating, but most (if not all people) take theirs to-go.
Open 7 days a week from 6:30am to 6:00pm.
Plenty of mall parking.

Service - At least 3 people working, not sure if the manager was training new employees today.

Price - $13.50 + tax.

Owner Comment - Congrats to the Peterson family on your success since 2000. I know you have gone through a few changes with the business and family, but good to know your company is still within the family.

I found Beach Street on my first morning in Maui... ended up being my favorite place and I went back 3 more times during our one week stay. Bonus that it's right across from the beach and the perfect place to sit and enjoy the morning. The fruit parfait, acai bowl, and hot/iced coffee drinks were all excellent... wish I could have stayed longer, I would have tried everything on the menu. Mahalo!

Beach treat at Beach Street [Kihei Maui]

Beach Street is at a good location since it sits just across the beach on S Kihei Road at the Rainbow Mall. It's closer to Kamaole Beach Park I. We passed by it the first time when we were looking for a place to have dinner next door at the Kamaole Shopping Center.

Saw açaí bowls on their menu board so we said we'd come back after our dinner. After dinner I was looking forward to some great desserts and they had closed for the evening so we came back a couple of days later. We placed our order at the walk up window and picked up on the other side. There are a few picnic benches outside under a roof covering. Although I really wanted an açaí bowl hubby and I ended up sharing a Hawaiian Rainbow shave ice - strawberry, pineapple, and blue vanilla flavors w/ ice cream and gummy bears. We got our order fast and it was onolicious and refreshing.

They offered more than shave ice including delightful breakfast fare, hot and cold beverages, snacks, and coffee shop goodness. Notice it's called "shave ice" in Hawaii... and not "shaved ice."

I had an açaí bowl here and all I can say is wow! I am going to go get another one today.

Kids loved the shaved ice mixed with ice cream. I had the Pina Colada smoothie and also enjoyed it.
Will definitely stop back by for breakfast before leaving.

Friendly folks at beach street serving up fresh bowls and smoothies. Everything is fresh, easy parking right next door and when showed up on a weekday in November, the service was quick and friendly. The papaya boat was pretty but the açaí was bowl was the star and was so fresh and delicious.

I was a bit worried from some of the reviews about speed of operation but it's a small shop and just two people working the store so I can see it backing up a bit but if you settle it into island time I'm sure it's all good. Most important of all, the food is fresh and delicious!
