Paper dosa was okaish, not much of paneer in the filling though. Sagar Special Dosa was quite good and filling.
Giving it 3 starts based on taste and price ratio.

I'm so glad Sagar survived the lockdowns so I--and you--can continue to enjoy their remarkable and less-common curry menu! It's no longer a well-kept secret, and a reservation is now a good idea. My fave thing is still their thalis (like a combo plate) as it allows me to savor so many flavors, all for about £20. The southern/Udupi thali is my fave, but I've enjoyed the northern as well. The service is a bit spotty, but they are kind and friendly and do their best. I will return again and again. You likely will too.

Came with a mostly vegetarian local friend the first time and we were wowed, so I came back on my own between shows in the area. This time I ordered the traditional Udaipi thali, and it was outstanding. Each little metal cup was filled with a different flavor and texture. Two big pieces of puffy bread and a papadum, plus rice to soak it all up. Go on the early side and a table shouldn't be a problem, compared to Dishoom where hungry people are lined up outside. This is now my go-to eatery in the theatre district.:

I had a great meal here last night. I was solo dining on business travel and left a bit stuffed as a result. But even so this was one of my more affordable London meals while still having memorable quality. Biggest thing as a visiting American was remembering that rice and curries are sold separately, but even so a good bargain.

They have vegan thali and several other vegan options! The food was good and it was served quickly. The staff was very nice.
