Overrun Restaurant. The ambiance and the service was ok. The food is not outstanding and overpriced.

notes: I have visited this restaurant many times before and loved it. I am also now vegan due to allergies to animal products.

The ambience of the restaurant is wonderful, with beautiful tables (indoors + outdoors), alcohol bottles lining the shelves and candles & heat lamps.

The dessert (a special vegan plate of fresh fruit and delightful mango sorbet) was wonderful

the location, directly above the beach is BEAUTIFUL.


CONS:
it was extremely loud and I found myself yelling



the food. there are almost NO vegan items on the menu. Even the bread contains eggs. We ordered the table appetizers (rot kraut, Weiss kraut, olives, wasabi bites, prosciutto, salad + spetzle) and only the Weiss Kraut + wasabi bites (which are NOT food) were vegan.

I ended up getting French fries and the oven baked vegetables. the French fries were bland and the vegetables were even worse. there was NO spice what so ever. it was bland, mushy and had a really really strange taste.

would not recommend for vegans.

My family and i visited Sylt on a Wednesday and recommend us this place, since it is a highly talked about place. We decided to stop by for lunch, first there was nobody at the front when we got there, we walked inside and finally bumped into a waitress and asked her, she said just seat yourself someone will come take your order,. We found a table outside and we though it would be great cause the weather was amazing and we love that the beach was so close by. A girl came by with menus, and let me tell you if you are into wine this is the place to find any and many wines. Their wine/drinks menu was so extensive. Since i was driving, I just had one beer. My son had a pasta dish which was a nice portion size and my daughter and I both had fish and chips. I tried the pasta ok, the fish and chips were a bit bland in taste. Service was not bad. After we had began our meal the people from the table next to us, started
Smoking, which we totally hate. Thats when we though that we should have taken a seat inside, from then on, they just kept lighting up. I wish they had a smoking section just for them, that really bugged my kids and I.

Very nice setting and definitely worth a visit. The food was pretty god with many different choices on the menu. Their wine list is huge - for some strange reason only two Zin's. We had the coconut roll which was very tasty. Their sole was a bit dry but their selection of steaks was awesome!! We had the selection of three desserts which were all delicious. The service was very friendly and could get by in English. Pretty crowded and dark inside.
