Back in my home country, we call this orange-fleshed fruit cantaloupe. Don't try asking for it by that name here - it's melon you're after.
The smallest cup at Scoop was more than I wanted nor needed and though I chose melon and fior di latte, it was my friend's lemon that really stood out to me. I will be back for more of that lovely limone.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention how utterly gorgeous the giant orbs of gelato are; get here early to see them before they're decimated by the sweet-seeking masses.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - 37587527902. Mai 2011
This place is as good as it gets. We had a huge, and late lunch, so instead of dinner we opted for a sweet treat.
Once inside I gravitated straight to the waffles. My decision was easy. Classic Madagascar vanilla gelato on top of a warm waffle with a slight dusting of cocoa. My wife had a waffle with chocolate gelato. Both were delicious. Madagascar vanilla is pure bliss. The dusting of cocoa was unnecessary for me as the vanilla was what I was after. The waffle was just ok. Even with gelato on top it was a bit harder than I prefer. I like my waffles crisp outside but softer inside. This waffle was hard, not crunchy. Just plain hard.
Overall the gelato was so delicious that it offset the waffle and made it a delicious treat.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 24483037218. Dez. 2014
Great gelato. Great bubbly service. The passion fruit was definitely from real passion fruit--sour, sweet, slightly bitter, great texture. The scooper recommended what she called cookies and cream, which was called biscotto. Nothing like American cookies n cream, it was sweet milk ice cream with some sort of chocolate ganache and chocolate biscuit cookie. It pays to ask the workers their personal favorite.

This place has the most delicious Sorbet & Crepes! My mom and I are obsessed with this place and have been here over 5 times! The place is clean, organized & very pretty for the aesthetics! I highly recommend this cute spot to anyone craving dessert!

Purely in the name of Yelp research, I did a trawl of the heart of Soho, finding ways to cool down on the very hot Sunday we just had.
The Scoop parent shop has been drawing many fans to Covent Garden for its delicious gelatos for many years. This new branch has just opened in Soho.
The shop is located just off the busiest part of Brewer Street, which is why it may have been a little quieter than neaby Gelupo and Snog. The internal layout of the shop is sensible with lots of space for customers to see what flavours are available.
I enjoyed a lovely combination of dark chocolate and raspberry - the 'small' cone size was more than sufficient with the staff piling on an Everest sized mountain of gelato.
For their generosity with portion size and the fact that it's the cheapest ice cream/froyo option in this area (£2.80 for small cone with choice of 2 flavours), I think Scoop wins my little cold treats contest in this area.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - Nida K.London, Vereinigtes Königreich1939705232716. Dammit, why?? Why must there be good gelato everywhere I go? This is the reason I'm working so hard at the gym these days because I can't refuse gelato.
IT. IS. SO. GOOD.
Especially with 2 scoops. On a freshly made waffle. Ooooohhhhh. I'm never getting fit at this point.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Nick S.Beverly, Vereinigte Staaten711593195515. Juni 2016
You wouldn't think Scoop would be that great given its location, but I had a waffle cone with Madagascar vanilla and a chocolate so dark it may very well have been a new meta material.
Each flavor was super intense, but in such a way that they perfectly balanced one another out. Needless to say, the cone did not survive very far from the front door.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Hannah M.Stroud, Vereinigtes Königreich642081644. Juli 2013
Churros are tasty, and the sorbet is even better. Super creamy (yet vegan), and a big list of flavours to choose from. My favourites are melon and lemon. Desperate to try the peach and pear.
I love this place!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Paul V.Los Angeles, Vereinigte Staaten13702483297527. Juli 2011
I'm a massive Gelato fan, and I was pretty disappointed when, having spent a few months in London, I hadn't located a spot that really satisfied my gelato cravings. It seemed as though everywhere I went simply had some soft ice cream and advertised it as gelato (there's a difference!)
That was up until I found Scoop.
First off, Scoop's atmosphere is absolutely brilliant. The decour is classy and makes for a great place to actually sit down and have a conversation with some friends. Additionally, the service is prompt and friendly, a rarity in tourist-infested SoHo.
Secondly, the prices are absolutely fantastic. London, and especially SoHo, is expensive, but I shocked to find that my 3.5 quid landed me two massive scoops of gelato!
In terms of the actual product, Scoop's gelato is excellent. While it's still just a tad bit off from what you'll find in Italy (the only reason I didn't give it five stars), the selection is fantastic and the unique flavor combinations are excellent.
Regardless of where you are in London, Scoop is an absolute must-see for desert.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
