Severinshof Mercure Hotel

The locations is great, downtown in walking distance to the shopping area, the Kölner Dom (cathedral) and the nightlife area near the university.
The hotel is clean and has all the amenities you expect of a business hotel. I liked best that they let you skip the daily housekeeping for a compensation. You can chose between membership points, a free drink at the bar or the hotel will donate €3 to an environmental found for reforestation. Needless to say I picked the environmental cause :-)

Nice clean hotel, good size rooms, comfy beds. Quiet but very close to all the action. I would Definately stay here again. I didn't get to try the breakfast but the bar is wonderful and the courtyard is lovely.

A great hotel, although the location might not be ideal for everyone. Severinstrasse is a little bit outside of the bustle of city centre. Admittedly it's only a short tram ride away and the station is literally on the hotel's doorstep.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with all the usual amenities. The staff were nice and very helpful. And it's only a short hop to the Christmas Markets. Neumarkt is about 5 minutes tram ride away, and the Chocolate Museum is about 10 minutes walk.
