Q:
Is there still construction going on in the property?

Q:
What is the status of the lobby construction? Recent reviews seem to indicate it is still ongoing. Articles I found online mention it be completed by November. I know how construction projects often don't stick to their intended schedule.

Great location but our room needs good remodeling. Great spot but it is a dated property. I see its shell still stuck in maybe many decades ago. the property is on prime location, beautiful beach and very close to the whalers village where restaurants and shops are abundant.
i see tiny ants, don't leave sweets out unattended.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 278771209211. März 2023
We were graciously gifted a stay here by my bf's friend ;_; Prime location in Lahaina for sure. The views are to die for.
At check-in, the complimentary valet parked our car out front as we sorted through logistics at the front desk, where we were greeted warmly with two shell leis and reusable water bottles. Staff are personable and thoroughly explained on-site amenities, including water refill stations, beach entry locations, and daily events across the resort. Keys come in the form of a elastic bracelet with a scannable chip. After receiving the resort map, we drove to our building (not walkable, the property is massive).
DELUXE OCEAN FRONT KING: Spacious suite with two balconies. We loved the view & ample natural light for the top floor. Comfortable bed & comforter. Luxy bathroom with decent toiletries. Hotel slippers and robe are comfortable, though thin. Mini fridge is a bit small.
Our room was walking distance to Ka'anapali beach and nearby stores via seaside trail. About 10 min drive from Front Street. Restaurants are not as good as local food, but tolerable. In hindsight, I'd avoid the new American ones and aim for food trucks instead.
NOTE: Latest check-out we could get was 1:30 pm.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rudy F.Medford, Vereinigte Staaten11626. März 2024
we stayed at this resort March 7 thru March 12, 2024. We are PLATINUM ELITE with Marriott so we hoped to get a room upgrade. We were also able to use our "Suite Nights" reward to get an additional upgrade. The room we were assigned was in a section of the resort that is at the very top of Black Rock so our view was basically just ocean. We could barely see the beach to the North of us. So the view was just ok. We would have preferred a beach/ocean view.
The room and this section of the resort is in need of some major renovation. Everything just looked old and dated. The carpet in our room was very worn and there was a huge stain near the bed. My wife and I had to wear our shoes at all times in the room because the dirty floor just turned our socks black if we didn't.
Since we had a late flight on our last day we requested a 4 pm check out. We were originally told that this wasn't possible. On the morning of our last day I spoke to an absolutely great lady at the front desk who went out of her way to juggle some reservations so that we could check out late. Her name is Evelyn Johnson. Ms Johnson is one of those people who truly understands what great customer service is!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian W.Amsterdam, Niederlande191334. Juli 2023

Highly recommend the Maui Sheraton Resort & Spa! We just spent a great week here. Location is amazing, food was great! Their hospitality is second to none and will truly make you feel like family for your entire stay!
The kids especially enjoyed the lazy river on the pool and watching the cliff divers from our beach chairs. Samantha (Guest Services Manager) was outstanding and helped take care of us when our youngest had an allergic reaction. She is a saint and deserves way more praise than I can give in this review.
To the whole team there at the Maui Sheraton Resort & Spa, 5 Stars and we hope to visit you again in the future!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 8. Dez. 2022
Lahaina is so beautiful. This gorgeous property matches the ambiance of the area and is a nice place to relax and enjoy yourself. The views are spectacular, it's right in front of the beach, they offer great amenities as well. The staff is kindhearted and friendly. The hotel is also walking distance to stores, and nearby restaurants too. You can't go wrong with this location.

I love this resort, I do, which is why I keep coming back to it - they have a lot of Aloha, the pool is amazing, it's local to everything and it's kid friendly. They have updated their rooms and front desk area, as well as some of the restaurants since we were here last. It is in the perfect location, right at black rock, which can get busy, yes, but absolutely beautiful location. We haven't been since 2019 as our annual trip would have fallen during the height of the 2020 pandemic and other life events occurred delaying further annual trips - finally made it back to the islands now in 2023 to celebrate my 40th. As with everything in the world, prices have skyrocketed, which we get, but a few things were a miss. Big issues for us are the pull out chair bed our 5 year old is sleeping in was covered in stains/hair/etc - they vacuumed/cleaned it and brought fresh bedding which was fine but the bigger issue is we have been here 3 days of our 9 day trip and have had to call guest services several times due to our toilet not flushing. For as much as it is per night, the convenience of a working toilet would be appreciated - at a resort of this caliber and price, a fully functioning toilet is minimal (it was finally fixed). Everyone always greets with an Aloha and a smile and some staff even remembered our names (impressive). Phil and Steven at the Aqua Hut were amazingly AWESOME!! They went above and beyond, were incredibly patient and kind while we had a frazzled moment with our tired littles. I would subtract 1 star for the toilet issue, but 5 stars for the view and everything else that made up for it!

Sept. 2019Vorheriger BeitragWe came here again September 2019 - booked through Costco and got an amazing package - upgraded room, daily breakfast and room credit. We were surprised to learn that they were doing construction during our trip. We didn't know when we booked our trip 6 months before - we received an email about the construction. ONE WEEK before we left - no time to change hotels. We decided to go with it and upon check in at Sheraton we were taken care of by Shauna - who actually helped us last year on our baby moon. She eased my mind about the construction and helped us find a good room to accommodate our 14 month old and all of his things. Been here 3 days now and everything is great! Thank you Shauna!!
By the way, no more Na Hoku Lounge/Club lounge access when you stay in a suite. They apparently had to get rid of it when Marriot took over - total bummer. Breakfast buffet was included in our package daily - nothing to write home about - we have gone elsewhere a few times and paid for breakfast even though we can get it free.
Location, staff and views at this resort are amazing!2. Apr. 2017Vorheriger BeitragWe typically book our trips through Costco (have only stayed here past few years) and our trip before last, we were told by the front desk that if we booked direct or had a credit card with them, we would receive extra perks. Summer 2016, we did just that, booking directly through Sheraton using the Sheraton credit card, which cost us significantly more than booking through Costco and we received absolutely zero perks. Our "ocean front" room was more of a half ocean view with no upgrades. When we booked the ocean front room through Costco 2015, it was exactly that and included daily access to the Na Hoku lounge. I know this sounds entitled/snooty, but you would think coming every year for several years, bringing/referring friends, booking direct, being an SPG member and paying so much more, you would be more taken care of. The two couples who met us there this last trip, booked through Costco and were upgraded to a suite with Na Hoku access which we could not join them at without paying an additional $550, without even asking for any perks. I guess it worked out for them to come a day after we did. All guests should feel special at their resort.
We love the pool, location is amazing (10 minute walk to Whaler's Village) and the staff is always friendly. Yes, the rooms are bit dated and worn and it could maybe use a little face lift. It is also silly to pay so much for a resort and still have to pay to self park at your own hotel (which I know is common for any resort these days unfortunately). I think it's about $20 for self park and maybe $28 for valet?
We come to Maui each year for our anniversary and/or Birthday. Again with me being entitled, for a celebration - the Sheraton just hands you a voucher for a free glass of champagne. No doubt a lot of people claim to be on some sort of holiday/celebration for any extra perk, but when you spend almost $500 a night, they could at least surprise you with champagne direct to your room (like most other 4-5 star resorts) instead of handing you a voucher to get your champagne at the bar.
We have stayed at the Hyatt a few times and they have gone above and beyond to make you feel special (champagne and strawberries with a welcome/congrats card waiting in our room upon arrival). Sheraton just checks you in, hands you a champagne voucher and sends you on your merry way.
If you like the resort feel and are staying in Kaanapali, definitely stay here if you don't need the pampering but want easy access to a great beach, snorkeling, close proximity to Whaler's Village, fun pool, nightly black rock dive show. A review that is very late but worth the wait. Took my wife on our honeymoon in early 2020. We had a great time. The evening lighting of the torches is an awesome tradition. Watching Sunsets and people diving off the black rock, nothing like it in the world. Great food and service.Very easy walk to Whalers Village shops and restaurants. We are set to return in a week with family and are very much looking forward.

Stayed at the Sheraton in July, but forgot to write a review until now. Location is great at the north end of the Ka'anapali boardwalk. Unbeatable views of the Black Rock - make sure you go up to a high floor to catch the best view of it. I believe the sunrise yoga gathering has a good spot for this.
Room was clean and updated. Housekeeping did an excellent job. I could not find a working ice machine - I went to six different ones before I found one that barely worked. WiFi range was a little on the weak side, but worked fine once you acquired a stable connection.
Staff was super friendly. Everyone I encountered was helpful and willing to strike up a conversation. Having spent 5 nights here, I was on a first name basis with most of the breakfast staff. Also, my wife dropped her wallet in the parking lot, and the security guard who picked it up returned it to our room with white glove service - it saved our trip!
Restaurants aren't the best on the property. I'd probably venture out to the village for a better dinner, or head into Lahaina for even more choices. The luau looked like a tourist trap, so I avoided it. I could watch most of it from my balcony anyways.
Self-parking is in a structure. The aisles are narrow and the spots themselves even more so. Don't rent the big truck if you can help it. The parking lot does seem to fill up, but I'm not sure what the overflow plan is - maybe bring it over to the valet?
Pools were gorgeous, and a pleasure to swim in. Outside bars do get busy in the afternoon.
All in all, a fantastic resort experience that we won't forget.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 3632232652. Jan. 2022
Amazing location - just near by black rock, where you can get an amazing snorkeling experience!
At evenings they also run torch firing process, which helps you feel the island.
-1 star for price. I knew it when I booked, but I didn't see cracked walls or doors. It would be great if they maintain the buildings better.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
