One of the highlights of my visit to Berlin. We took the boat tour on a whim as we noticed it when walking past and thought it would be a different and novel way to see everything. So we purchased our tickets and hopped aboard. Much to our delight there was a cafe which also sold wine and beer. So my two friends and I obtained glasses of wine, sat on top deck and enjoyed the tour. It was a really brilliant experience. Moving along at a leisurely pace, we saw all the sites/ architecture and heard the history of the places we passed. One drawback was that it was quite cold to be sitting on an open deck, but this was definitely the best way to see Berlin. Plus, it's so much more fun than a standard bus tour and a glass of wine enhances the experience ;-)

Avoid this company at all costs. The people selling you the tickets will tell you anything they want you to hear. Once the money is in hand all of sudden things change. When you ask for your money back they laughed at us and said good luck. Complain about me because nothing will happen anyways. I was with my mother who is handicapped which they knew before we even bought the tickets. When she asked (in German) if they had assistance down or other stairs. The man laughed and said good luck. You bought the tickets knowing you had to go down them, you can make you way down on your own. I could go on and on. Trust me I am writing the main office also. We didn't end up going on the 3 hour tour with them and choose to go on the tour boat with Reederei Bruno Winkler next door. And was very pleased. And the helped going down the stairs.
40€ down the tubes but it won't be the last they hear of me.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 9. Mai 2014
We went on a cruise to see Berlin from a different perspective. We saw landmarks: Museum Island, Bundeskanzleramt, Reichstag, Berliner Dom, Schloss Charlottenburg, Nikolaiviertel, etc. It's 15euros one way or 21,50euros roundtrip.
The boat we were on was pretty nice. We had tables and chairs. They have snacks and drinks on board. What better way to see the city than by sitting comfortably while sipping Hefeweizen! There's commentary as you go along but it's in Deutsch. But not to worry if you don't sprechen Sie auch Deutsch. They have a device with earphones that looks like a PSP that lets you listen to the commentary in whatever language you speak.
The trip takes about an hour and it moves in a moderate pace. Think of all the pretty pictures you can take!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 28. Mai 2013
Wonderful 3 hour evening tour of the downtown area and beyond. Great way to see the sights, chill, and have a few beers. Dinner and desert also available. German tour was good. English version of the tour was really bad, however. Did not translate all of the German highlights. Used a lot of incomplete sentences which left us wondering what the heck she was talking about. They should consider a recorded tour with better translation.

Being on the water was really nice -
The service on the boat (food and drinks) was awful! We tried for 30 minutes to get a servers attention- she deliberately ignored us ( and others too) and only took our order when others at our table practically tackled her. The narrator / guide spoke in a monotone and loudly during the entire 3 hour evening trip , 90% in German- even though the cruise was advertised as English also. I would've preferred he not speak at all
or that we have headphones if we wanted to hear the spiel. Smoking is allowed and as many were
smoking it was quite unpleasant at times . I guess we're spoiled by the US anti smoking laws and taboos. Overall I give this trip a below average rating .Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (george…)Brighton, Vereinigtes Königreich62258264724. Juli 2008
This boat trip of the historical city was ok. The guide was informative but seemed to skate over everything. The weather just held up on the day we went.
The tour lasted 90 minutes and felt longer, for the best of reasons. It had a bar and waitress service. The top deck was a bit cramped. And at times it was not possible to stand due to low bridges.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kathy K.Berlin1103307. Aug. 2017
All the guide books recommended this tour. The boats are not the finest on the water. No tables for drinks up top. The guide was hard to understand. A mumbler. More German than English. All the boat tours have similar routes, so I would merely choose a different boat.
