Surf'n Turf

Hands down the best steak i've had in this area!! Delicious steak, truffle mashed potatoes, and spinach. Really really good! Service was good as well! Would highly recommend.

Surf-N-Turf in Frankfurt is absolutely worth going to. Finding decent steaks in Europe is more often a miss than a hit, but don't worry, they won't disappoint. The cuts of beef are fresh and you choose the individual steak you wish them to cook from a tray the waiter brings around.
If you still haven't tried truffles this is a place you're safe venturing it. They don't simply use an infused oil as some places, so be sure to try it. I recommend their truffle potatoes, they add a generous amount of fresh truffles and just the right amount of butter.
If this location near the Palm Garten doesn't work for your stay, check out their website because the firm that owns Surf'n Turf also runs a few similar steakhouses around the same area and I've even been to one near Eschborn.
My only complaint is the waitstaff. I understand Germans are typically considered to be a colder people but their waitstaff seems so discontent. They really need to work on their service. A smile never hurts.

no doubt about that: the steaks are very good !!!
but: do you need to sit in a dark and pseudo americanized place to enjoy all that ? its overly crowded with tables and feels a bit claustrophobic
and: you need to enjoy sitting with a whole lot of bankers, lawyers, consultants and the like who try their best NOT to disguise that they are just bankers, lawyers, consultants.
so probably you rather close your eyes and enjoy the meat..or go someplace else.

This is the best steak (for me) in Germany. Yes, it's expensive but I love this place and go once or twice a year. I stray every now and then and go to Block House but when I want a really good steak and a great atmosphere (again subjective), this is the place I go.

Kind of pricey, but once you have that steak touch your tongue, you'll forget about everything. Staff is friendly and location is nice.
