Taj Mahal

We visited this restaurant in 2016. We tried veg thali for two and we loved the food. Ambience and service was also good. We love how they serve your Thali on candle so your food stay warm.

Man I love this place! Was here on vacation, and only knowing a little German I was worried that I wouldn't be able to speak with the waiter, but impressively he told me that not only does he speak fluent German, but he speaks fluent English, Italian, and Urdu.

Whoa.

But food! The food here was fantastic. I got the chicken Marsala and boy it was good. Loved the three appetizer sauces, they were fantastic.

They even have like chewing herbs and seeds for after dinner breath fresheners, which I thought was a nice touch. If you're in München and in the mood for authentic Indian food check this place out!

Went here as part of an organized evening and the menu was a buffet with some curries and starters. I have to say it was the least impressive curry I have had in a while. I only tried the vegetarian dishes and they were ok but lacked flavour. I asked the guys next to us how the chicken curry was and they were not impressed with the quality of the meat.

What made it worse was when dessert arrived it was called a Mango Cream and it tasted like it had garlic infused into it and it had such a strong flavour of garlic that I could not eat and no one at our table did either.

I hope the ala carte menu is better as if the buffet is anything to go by I would not come back here at all.

I know I am fussy with Indian food and probably harsher than others with my reviews but, it is what it is :-)

Must Stop restaurant if you enjoy curry and are in the area, definitely one of the best restaurants I went to while I was in Munich

Nice, quality, indian cousine. Great service and staff as well as the food. Definitely worth another visit.

I found that there was a good range of vegetarian options, as usual for Indian.

The atmosphere was calm and mellow, a great place to relax and unwind.

I liked the slightly unusual Onion Bhaji I had as a starer, and I enjoyed the Paneer Tika Masala that I had as a main (a generous portion of rice included).

There was a great range of drink options on the menu, and I was very happy with my dark wheat beer.

The service was excellent.

All in all a good option for vegetarians.

I absolutely loved this place!

My husband and I visited this place twice during our visit to Munich. We did a take-out the first time. We got an aloo gobi and a palak paneer. Both were delicious. The portion sizes are generous and it comes with a side of a large portion of rice. The rice is actually a lot more than what a human being can consume in one meal.

The second time we went was late at night. It was a bit cold outside and we were delighted to be greeted with a cup of hot chai for free. We again loved both the items we bought (dhal and aloo fry). The aloo fry was actually an item not on their menu, but they made it anyway since we asked for it (not knowing it wasn't on the menu) and they didn't want to disappoint us. It tasted amazing!

This place is amazing! The food is great and delicious. The servers are very nice and treated us you well.

I've been several times there. Food was ok, but the staffs are rude. Seems they want to make more rounds, they serve meals soon and if they see you're finished, they bring the bill immediately without asking.
