I pass by Cafe Largo often and finally decided to stop in and I am so glad I did! Originally my partner and I went in with the intention of working on our laptops and getting some coffee so we got a French press with 5 cups of coffee, which was incredible! After checking out the menu, we decided to put the laptops away and enjoy the veggie burgers. I tried the El Popeye (spinach burger), which was packed full of grains and veggies. My partner got the Red Bliss (bean and red beet). Both were delicious but a little soft so they were a bit messy. They came with the perfect little side salad and fresh chips. Definitely going back to check out the rest of this vegetarian menu :)

Cozy cafe in Wedding where you can just go chill or get your laptop and do some work. Nice selection of cakes. Lots of vegan options. Coffee was really good.

In two days I was here twice. First time I realized they didn't accept credit card, the waitress seemed a bit annoyed when I asked for an ATM and actually seemed a little by annoyed all the time.
I had enough cash to get a good coffee and breakfast. They have vegan and vegetarian which I like :)
Anyway I didn't feel welcome. Second time was better... The staff seemed to be in a better mood.
The food is good cafe style :) with nice cupcakes.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erin B.Berlin83297633. Aug. 2014
The literal translation of "cupcake", this Wedding cafe does indeed serve American-style cupcakes & treats (€2.40). Plus, American breakfast with all you can eat pancakes on weekends (€8.80) as well as blueberry pancakes (€10 something for all you can eat).
Everything is bio which isn't a huge sell point for me, but it is extremely tasty which counts for everything. Other menu items: Breakfast burrito, french toast and omelets. Bacon comes in 3s at 2.40 and while not perfectly American style, is thick and salty. Everything is under 10 euro and of conservative size - perfect start for a day. Another big plus for the summer - iced coffee with coffee ice cubes. Swoon!
The place was really busy when we dropped by on Sunday around noon. We had to go into a deserted backroom set for a group and so we were bit left out of the atmosphere, but it was still a really lovely space. We also were forgotten a bit back there, but who cares to rush on a sunny Sunday afternoon?
Love that this place is within walking distance for whenever I feel a flood of homesickness.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lea K.Bezirk Neukölln, Berlin07716. März 2019
It's a nice place to have coffee and do some work on your computer.
I tried the pancakes and they were nothing special. Don't know what all the fuss is about. I think they are way overpriced (around 7.50€ for strawberry ones). The rest of the food seems nicer but haven't tried it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mina A.San Francisco Bay Area, Vereinigte Staaten4593457. Apr. 2015
Had the red bean veggie burgers and a jalapeno cream soup. Burger was great! seasoned well, nice bitey texture and flavor. Soup was also tasty but bland I had to add a ton of salt since I like my food well seasoned. Burger was served with potato chips. The yellow veggie burger was ok, nothing special tho, kind too loose of a texture as the it fell apart while eating. Overall I can't wait to go back on the weekend , when they serve pancakes and breakfast! The ambience was really nice very well decorated and super clean, there was a game cabinet which was a really nice suprise as well. Service was above and beyond awesome. Will definitely be back to try the cupcakes and pancakes!

Love this cafe in Wedding. Great food and tons of vegan options. They have various scones and sweets that have been different each time I've been there, so it's always freshly made. Fairly priced and great atmosphere for lunch or brunch. One of the few places I've found that serves breakfast through the afternoon. I love Cafe Largo!

In response to the owner's comment:
It wasn't my intention to indict Tassenkuchen's entire business. As I wrote above, the space was nice and the barley coffee was super tasty.
In my opinion, the pancakes were not remarkable (nor despicable). I've had all sorts of pancakes in my life - Bisquick, buckwheat, vegan, organic, and yes, even, McDonald's - and these ones didn't do it for me. Just one girl here.
I can't qualify my bacon review. Our serving simply was not well prepared.
I try to Yelp when I'm travelling to give English-readers some sort of realtime guidance, and I stand by my review, which is of course, just my opinion.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Infos zum Inhaber

hello kate,
sorry your experience at my café was less then you expected. i apologize for the long wait you underwent to be served your pancakes. Obviously there was a problem in the kitchen. Problems do occur in restaurants, just like in the real world.
I pride myself in the pancakes we serve. With the exception of you, the overwhelming majority of comments we receive (most by Americans) is that our pancakes are the best they have ever eaten. I can't attest to what happened to your serving but i find your comment about McDonald's rather insulting....do they use fresh, expensive, organic ingredients? And make them from scratch in their "restaurants". I don't eat at McDonald's as what they produce is not food fit for consumption. And if you calculate the cost of their ingredients to ours, we are a real bargain!
As far as the "bacon", if you live in Germany you would know they do not make bacon here like what you find in the states. And since ours is also organic it does not have all the chemicals contained in American bacon. It cooks up differently. I try my best to produce an equivalent end product to what you would get in the USA, could be yours was a bit to crispy. Again, I apologize.
With regard to you comment about the seating...we can accommodate about 50 people, of which 8 seats are bean bags (which are there with kids in mind), that means they constitute about 16% of our seating.
The lack of veracity of your comments is what upsets me most. I can only assume you have never worked in the restaurant or service business so therefor have no experience with what it takes to try and please customers everyday as you pour your heart and soul into your business. These days it is all to easy to shoot off a few flippant comments which can have a detrimental effect on a person's business.30. Juli 2012Vorheriger BeitragPlease note: This review applies only to Tassenkuchen's pancake brunch. In general, TK looked like a sweet place to hang out over a 3-hour coffee and cupcake (though the heavy reliance on beanbag seating is dubious.) I hate to hate, but as an American, I know a thing or two about nutritionally-debased, carb-heavy breakfast food. After a 45-minute wait, TK served up the equivalent of a McDonald's order of "hotcakes" at about 3 times the price. The bacon was...not bacon, nor was it the omnipresent European ham-esque variety. It looked like wood chips and tasted like salty charcoal. To their credit, the waitstaff offered us free beverages to go after the outstanding wait (though didn't think to simply scratch the existing drinks from the bill.) In sum, if you go to Tassenkuchen, stick to the "tassenkuchen" (and try the barley coffee - yums.)
