I went along to the new factory and was very impressed by the staff and facilities.
A warm welcome from the start. The place was light and airy and very clean.
It would be fantastic for children, as the indoor and outdoor play areas looked simply amazing. But for them to be able to make their very own chocolate sweets would have to be the tops.
So let the little ones play as you sit back in the cafe and enjoy a real milk chocolate drink!
Then spend your money in the factory shop on local produce as well as CHOCOLATE.
I went back twice in the week as it was so good. (and I don't have kids)

visited the choc factory in twynholm easter week-end with daughter and her family and must say that even though it was abit wet outside we had such a lovely day my grand-son made choc egg, choc lolly and marshmallow train he just loved it we had a lovely lunch and our youngest grand-son loved the activity play area. We all thought it was very very clean and well organised also very reasonably priced. we will definately return as the kids want to play outside with the dinosaur.

Claire Beck founded this small business making hand crafted chocolates using traditional methods and using finest Belgian chocolate.
It can be found in the small village of Twynholm in Dumfries and Galloway,home to formula one ace David Coulthard.
The factory is tucked away in this little side street and they have chocolate making demonstrations for children which are probably better to be pre-arranged.
Our grandchildren loved it;they were each given a chocolate mould of their choice and under the guidance of one of the employees made their own chocolate animal,a chocolate bar and some other little sweets;they saw the process through from start to finish and were involved in doing each stage.
It is a very small room so it is probably better to ring and book if you were taking a few children;it takes about 30 mins but is well worth it,even for adults.
The staff were extremely patient and skilled in managing even very young children during the process.
There is a small cafe where you can have a drink and sample the chocolates.
They are hoping to move to larger premises in Kirkcudbright to expand the business

I can say nothing but praise for the staff at this factory, I have an autisic son /adhd and they gave him one to one in there workshop and the guy at the desk understood perfectly that my son would rip of his wrist band as he does like it against his skin,However after we had ben playing awhile in the playarea and my son had been jumping around in his way and useing his hands to pan for gold and using the pans to splash about with a guy camr up to us and said" excuse me can i have a word" he then went on to say in front of my friend that if my son didnt wear his wrist band he would have to leave, i explained about my son s conditon i had said that at the desk when i came in they said it was ok, i showed the guy the wrist band in my pocket, he said he was the manger and he will have to leave i then repeated my self again, saying he has autism and explaining again, he then went on to say that his behaviour was not fitting, he was jumping and spashing, i asked if anyone had complained he said no, he had been watching i said so had i and he is just being him not hurting anyone, he said he saw him spalsh the pan against the water,( it was a pan for gold little water fall,) fraser used his hands,( big deal). We had to leave, I took my friend and her children with me, also another couple who had seen the mangers terrible mannor also left. This is how they treat autisic children, beware.
