The Three Shires

The steak and chips in this place is amazing .For £10 you get the biggest plate you have ever seen. They cook everything fresh to order, and it is simply divine. 4 stars, only because , I did hear that someone had their handbag stolen from there, when dining close to the front door. But I had no trouble with mine lol:)
I would say this pub is Small, intimate and charming:)

Sad to see that this place has closed down. This used to be a good option for a drink and some lunch in town. The food was okay, nothing amazing, if you ventured off the sandwiches and jacket potatos part of the menu and maybe that was it's downfall. Service was fine and there were a wide variety of beers and ales on offer, so I was said to walk past the other week and find that it was empty. Shame.

I have been going here for 40 years and seen it through all its incarnations. Still a lovely place to bob into on a saturday afteroon

Glad to see The 3 Shires re-opened with a stylish new decor and a great new food menu!!.. It is run by the same people that run huffys in Hazel Grove!!
