The Turnabout Shoppe

This place is a joke. I realize you don't get Chanel handbags for cheap even on consugnment, but their prices are RIDICULOUS! You're better off spening a little bit more for items that are brand new!!!

Not worth the trip AT ALL. You can find better deals elsewhere.

This is not a second-hand store for the faint of heart or casual shopper. It is truly an experience. Make sure that you have enough time to truly look through the store, as there are little gems on every rack, in every room of this charming victorian house-turned shop.
It is all high-end, designer merchandise. There are a lot of Chanel suits and jackets, Valentino, TSE... you get the picture. The shoe selection is nice; it is mostly very high end (Stuart Weitzman, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik) with a few Cole Haan/Anne Klein/BCBG brands mixed in. Beautiful handbags: Fendi, Chanel, Gucci, oh my!
The prices are a little hard for me to swallow here. Given the original prices, yes, these items are a good deal. Just a bit steep for little ol' me, even at discount!

I love this place! As an avid designer consignment shopper, the Turnabout is one of my favorites! Whenever I'm in the Boston area I have to visit! I've gotten several nice authentic designer pieces from them and I'm always thrilled with my purchase. The shop is quaint and boutiquey; filled with charm and character.

This is an odd shopping experience.

The shop is in a house so you have to wander from small room to small room. Each room has a video camera pointed at your face [since the owner never seems to get up off his chair, I can see why he would need it] and so if you don't like the feeling of being watched, this wouldn't be your shop.

I was shocked at the prices even for designer clothing. After all most of the things have been worn. There are certainly no "bargains" as one would expect from a used clothing store.

I agree with others. This is a VERY high end, expertly curated store. The prices are high but many items have tags still on, so you can see what the difference is. Some of the jewelry was really unique. Will definitely go back.

This is my very first post on Yelp... But after waiting a few days, I felt it necessary. This was a nightmare shopping experience, Two of the Nastiest girls working at the " Turnabout Shop" I was with a friend, they never acknowledged us when we arrived,yet we were the only ones in the store,we were both dressed in head to toe designer as we both work in Fashion. I was told about this store, so I drove out there to check it out, I live in Boston, and I love high end consignment shopping! I travel all over the country for my job,and it's my guilty pleasure in what ever new city I pull into to find the best consignment shops...This was not worth the trip, trust me, These girls were beyond rude, followed us from room to room in a very creepy way? ( the store is an old house) the product was extremely dated and very very overpriced... And not willing to bargin at all, and most stores of this kind are known for it. And it was the way in which they spoke to my friend who was carrying a $12,000 Hermes' Birkin bag by the way...that was the most offensive, It was if they hated working there, and they hated people? They never smiled, and when asked a question answered in a very snippy why are you bothering me kind of way, neither of them seem to have any fashion sense themselves? This was the most Bazar shopping experience. The place should be shut down, I'm embarrassed for the owner that this is what they chose to represent them... Sad,Angry & Pathetic employees!!
