Tree House Vegetarian Restaurant

Tree House Restaurant on South Grand in St. Louis was established in 2013 and offers a fantastic option for vegans and vegetarians. It's challenging to be strict vegan without getting a little bored. This spot can assist!

Went for brunch. While I'm no longer vegan, I appreciate the creativity and ingredient excellence at this spot. I recently enjoyed their Desayuno Latino, featuring a black bean and vegetable stuffed masa cake with flavorful house-made sauces and perfectly cooked eggs, accompanied by breakfast potatoes.

The trendy atmosphere, full bar, and friendly, quick service make it a must-visit spot. Overall, a bright and cheerful gem offering a great vegan option in our community.

Our servers were amazing! From answering any questions we had to making sure our coffees were full!
I loved that the area is full of natural light, definitely makes it feel bigger. Not the best for groups but they could probably make it work. Fun environment!

Got there a few minutes before opening but were warmly greeted. Sat at the bar and enjoyed some happy hour specials from their list of inviting cocktails. Ordered a proud mary expecting a Bloody Mary type of drink but surprised with a rosemary, grapefruit vodka concoction which was delicious. Enjoyed some delicious small place with our group and then an entree of polenta covered with Smokey mushrooms and more. Delicious vegan fare with nice gf choices as well. Leave room for the chocolate dessert!!!!

Tree House is definitely one of the best vegan restaurants in St Louis. Everything is served vegan unless you ask for vegetarian. The food is amazing. I hadn't been in a while. The food and service did not disappoint. We had Stacy as our waiter. He was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. I started off with a cocktail off their fun drink menu. Drops of Jupiter was a rum tropical drink with oat milk. Delightful! Next up was the Wild Mushroom Stuffed Ravioli in a yummy cashew cream sauce topped with flash-fried Brussels sprouts. It was sooooo good and the cream sauce was the best I've ever had. Then we shared the Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse for dessert. Heavenly!

Tree House has one of the best reputations among vegan restaurants in St. Louis and it's easy to see why! It doesn't taste like meat, of course, but everything I've had has been tasty. I'm a big fan of the Katsu BBQ sandwich and the Rangoon but you also can't go wrong with just veggies: the Brussels sprouts salad is excellent. Beyond the food, the servers are attentive and knowledgeable, it's reasonably priced, and the vibe is quick and casual.

Pasta and Brussels sprouts were good. The burger wasn't bad, had a super dry roll and weird ratio to meat, felt like a thick English muffin with beyond meat.

The staff unfortunately were extremely rude to us. Did not check in on us while we were eating, took forever to get our order, the check, and overall vibe. The staff just looked at us with blank stares when we asked for anything.

Will not be going back.

Short visit to St. Louis resulted in two meals at Tree House in one day and I'm very not sorry. St. Louis' vegan scene punches winner its weight class in my opinion with a lot of choice and much of it very delicious. Unfortunately there are fewer options on Sunday and Monday.

That's what got us Treehouse fur brunch and dinner but again we didn't mind.

It's a nice place with a lovely patio and indoor seating. Service was on point and friendly.

Krab rangoon- tasty but no discernible "krab"
The two specials smoked maitake and ravioli were rich and pretty tasty but the chest sauce in the ravioli was overpowering.

Note, everything at dinner is vegan even when it's goat cheese and whatnot.

Tree House is a great spot for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores! Lots of flavorful food and a great variety of healthy, tasty options.

I loved the apps and drinks we had here but likely wouldn't have my main dish here! Our waitress was super nice, attentive, and helpful. I would recommend reservations as it filled up pretty quickly and was a bit noisy! They also have an outdoor patio

We started with drinks which were all very refreshing! I got the spicy pineapple margarita which was on their happy hour menu, the perfect amount of spice!
We then shared appetizers - the dumplings weren't my favorite but I loooved the gnocchi, Brussels sprouts salad, and jackfruit dishes. I would go back just for those!
My friend and I both got the mushroom ravioli with Brussels sprouts - unfortunately neither of us liked it at all. The Brussels sprouts were too salty (the appetizer Brussels sprouts dish on the other hand was delicious, flavorful) and the cream sauce had a strange coconut flavor. Wouldn't get it again...
The cacio Pepe was good, peppery and had a great Parmesan. We opted for the vegetarian not vegan version. The pasta Florentine was really good - had some spiciness and an exciting flavor.

Wow! This place was amazing. It started off with great service from Harmonye and we also were seated right away from making a reservation through the yelp app.

The bar was looks so fun and everything about the restaurant felt really intentional. We had fun looking at the microscopic photos.

The food looked so good and smelt even better. I got the hash with over easy eggs and the sauce was nice and bright. The rest tasted like fall encompassed in a breakfast. My boyfriend got the Southern Benedict and he loved it! Neither of us are vegetarian but we both enjoyed them regardless.

Enjoyed a nice brunch with my son here. No inside seating was available so we ate outside. Our waitress ended up being a former college classmate of my sons. So that was very nice.

The waitress helped me to make a good decision as I have diabetes and need to have more protein and go light on the carbs. Since I was unfamiliar with the vegetarian protein sources, she assisted me.

We ate outside on the patio since all the tables inside were occupied. It was a pleasant experience. The food options were unique.

I may be returning.
