Most people likely stop here for the nice views. Many places with good views tend to have mediocre food, and it was pretty average here as well. We all got pizzas, and they were alright, but nothing amazing. If you want great food, I would go somewhere else and maybe stop here just for drinks and appetizers.

people are extremely rude, got yelled at when sitting infront of restaurant waiting to go inside. Aggressively motioned us to leave. made us not go.

But on my first and last night in Berlin, I ended up eating Italian. And so it goes...

In both cases, the meals were large family affairs with diners running spanning from young children to seniors. So in order to find a centrally located restaurant along the Spree river with a broad menu that would satisfy a wide range of palates, we ended up here.

On the first hot August night, we dined along the river at their outdoor tables. The walkway to the Friedrichstraße train station and train tracks are practically over your head, so we had a more scenic vista when we dined at other cafes a little farther down the road.

For the second visit with a much larger group, we took over a large section of their indoor seating. That worked out well, since we essentially had that part of the restaurant to ourselves. We liked the red walls and vintage photos.

The food was satisfactory and our service was just fine on both occasions. We really ate items from all over the menu. Most of our group had pizza and pasta, we ordered bruschetta to start and there were plenty of food and drink options, so everyone found something. My son was particularly fond of the pasta bolognese.

The company was always more memorable than the food, but it was perfectly fine.

Food are so salty in Germany, but not here. The pasta and pizza is really delicious, we sat outside, beside the road. A little bit cold, but the restaurant provide blanket! That's so sweet!

Dreadful service. Just so so slow. And rude.

The food was ok. Ordered the red pesto spaghetti.

But 35/40 minutes to get a beer to your table, before you've even ordered food. Just...don't come here.

How did I pick this place? I wanted to sit out side along the river and the only table open that wasn't at a snooty overpriced place was vaporetto.

Had a nice beer and ordered some food after watching what others around me got. Went for the pizza with Parma ham and arugula, and a mixed green salad. Thing came at a good pace and everything was fresh. The pizza was very good and the combo of ham, cheese, arugula, and a yummy tomato sauce was a very nice way to settle in and people watch along the river.

Nothing mind blowing, just a good pizza and beer in the sun shine. That will do most days.

I went to this restaurant with colleagues from a conference and ordered the tuna pizza because it is one of my favorite dishes. The tuna on the pizza that arrived was overcooked and tasted really fishy, like fish that has gone bad. I asked the waitress if I could exchange it for another plain pizza, but she said the kitchen would not let her. The kitchen told her the fish was fresh and tasted perfect and I would have to pay for my bad pizza. Save yourself food poisoning and terrible service by never going here

great quality food and nice location, i ordered the ravioli, and my sister chose the carbonara. service was a bit slow, but the staff were friendly. we were a bit disappointed when they didn't understand our requests for garlic bread; perhaps it's not as much of a staple part of germans' diets, but we thought we would surely get some in an italian restaurant.
the portion sizes were a bit small in my opinion, but the food itself was delicious, if a tad pricey. i would reccomend you eat here at lunch if you're interested in an accessible italian restaurant as it is so close to friedrichstraße, but to be honest, it doesn't stand out from the similar restaurants around.

Mediocre Italian food and has slow service, at least the two times I've been there. The location is the best thing about the place, but it can get noisy when sitting outside when a train arrives or departs from Bahnhof Fredrichstr. It's not horrible but you could walk another half a block down Albrechtstr. and get some great Italian food at Boccovino.
