Viktoria-Luise-Platz

Viktoria-Luise-Platz is a charming square on Motzstrasse - with a fountain and seating. When we wandered through, plenty of people were reading books on the lawn of the square. There are also restaurants around the square (or down the streets leading up to the square). I highly recommend picking up some gelato at Viktoria Eis and walking toward and around the square!

Viktoria-Luise-Platz may not be as large as other neighborhood parks in Berlin, but it's a lovely little area that's perfect for socializing and relaxing. It's one of those ideal spots where you could spread a blanket on the green grass and read a book until your heart's content; have a picnic with loved ones; or work on that tan when the weather's right -- and when the weather's right *everyone* seems to venture out of their homes to work on their tans.

In the center of the park stands a large fountain that I've noticed has a dual purpose. Not only is it a decorative feature, but it serves as an outdoor bathtub for both children and dogs.

Nearby Viktoria-Luise-Platz is the U-Bahn which shares the same name. Stores, cafes, and ice cream shops are also within walking distance.

Tucked away from noisy streets, this small park has its peaceful moments which provide neighborhood residents with a place to clear their minds and enjoy life in Berlin.
