Waitrose

Thank you from the residents at Castle Court. A delivery driver brought in several bunches of flowers to give to the residents that were out of date but far too good to throw away. A lovely gesture.

Marlborough is must be one of the few places left where they don't have Tesco and Sainsbury's on the main street! Waitrose is on the High Street though, and in listed buildings I believe. As such, the store has maintained the old frontage of the buildings, including columns! Inside it's just as posh really. They have a very nice range of food, tending towards the slightly trendy. I love some of the yoghurts they do, with flavours including ginger and lemon curd. Yum! Service is good.


Head downstairs (stairs or lift) and you'll find yourself in the back entrance hall. They have toilets (rather over used) and trolleys. There's a choice of three different trolleys for kids of different sizes and you can also get a small one with a holder for your shopping list. The rather nice car park at the back stretches down to the River Kennet, so you can take the kids to feed the ducks as part of a shopping trip.

Waitrose Marlborough has a good location on the famous ultra-wide High Street. It has the biggest selection of products, especially speciality products like gluten free, 'international' foods etc. I love to peruse the aisles ogling the foods (and drinks!) on offer. I have always found a really high level of customer service, as you'd kinda expect in such an affluent area.

Its the only supermarket in Marlborough unfortunately, but what you get is a clean and efficient store, well stocked, very good service from the staff (shouldn't expect anything else in Marlborough!). Parking out the back but its pay & display, there is a recycle centre in the carpark too.

Waitrose is one of the main supermarkets in Marlborough. It is quite large and there is a car park at the back. I do not like Waitrose myself so much as the other supermarket chains. I tend to find it more expensive. But the staff there are helpful and I use it if I am only popping in for one or two things, but not for a big weekly shop. If I want cheaper stuff, I would tend to use Somerfield, which is just across the road. I suppose that Waitrose is better for people who are richer than me!

Waitrose is the main supermarket in Marlborough. Its a large shop with a large car park, with both a rear and front enterance making it easy for everyone to shop at Waitrose. Staff are very helpful and the shop is well laid out, it is pretty expensive compared to other supermarkets but sadly Marlborough does not have any other manjor chain supermakets.
