Super cute and quaint. The atmosphere is a wonderful place to enjoy a drink outside! ...even when it's chilly. The glüwein will warm you up very quickly!

A beer lovers dream! First of all, this little place is right up against the castle and has a great view of a lovely little plaza with a biergarten out front. Then there is a nice long beer list - with about 15 different beers (which is quite extensive in Germany). I dont believe there was service outside, so you must go into buy drinks. Also, there is a 2 euro pfand (glass deposit) on the beer glasses to make sure you bring them back. The Radler came in the Wanderer beer stein so I kept it. The bartender was very nice and exchanged my glass for a clean one to take home. There is also wine and a few mixed drinks too. If you are hungry, there are some snacks (pretzels) and a Wanderer Cafe next door.

Wow - what a great place. The bartender was so friendly and also spoke amazingly good English. Knowing we were looking for good smoked beer - he poured a beer from bottle (on the house) which is probably the best rauchbier I have ever had (Look it up - it was called Smokey George - I believe the Laphroig version). Location is fabulous but asking around to find it was difficult (partly because language issues). Just go towards the big tower on the hill that is visible from the center.:)

This was my home away from home in nuremberg while living there in the altstadt. If I could have given up my apartment and moved in here I would have.

The beer selection wasn't as good as I was hoping. Most is in bottles and maybe only 5-6 on tap. I had two Kreative beers and they weren't bad. The tables and chairs outside are nice, especially if you come on a nice sunny day. There's a tree and some umbrellas for some of the tables but not all tables are shaded. Great spot to watch people walk by.

Perfect location for people watching and catching some sun in the hillside. Good selection of local craft beer and of course, if you don't have taste buds, some of the standard boring German fassbier. Staff is always friendly and welcoming.

If you are looking for a traditional atmosphere for Franconian beer culture, this is your place. Rotating tap of local brews. The location couldn't be better either.

We went around 2pm in the afternoon and there was no hot food , only pastries. We got an apple pie and rhubarb pie which were good but not extraordinary. Felt like the cafe is a little overrated. Cute place though
