Wirtshaus zur Schwedenscheuer

We ate dinner here last night with a few friends and it was delicious. I ordered the #45 on the menu it's a filet fish with spinach and potatoes. The cream that they put over the fish is amazing. My wife has schnitzel she said it was good. For dessert I had the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. It came out with kiwi and oranges as a garnish. I wish the menu said it had fruit with it. Anyways the apple strudel was ok. Our friends ordered the meal for two it came out on a large tray with everything all at once. They said it was good.

Fantastic German food! This place is a hidden gem in Echterdingen. A German recommended and I am so glad for the recommendation. It's also a great spot for a larger group - I went out with some friends and we were given a large round table tucked away from the rest of the seating. Street parking is limited so look for the garage near the Rathaus. Definitely make a reservation for dinner, as seating is limited.

Best place in Echterdingen and maybe in Southern Germany. A lot of good food for your money and excellent service. We visit weekly. ****
