Zen Garden Spa

Got a couples massage her with my SO and overall it was a very good experience. Not as cheap as the 'curtain seperated' super cheap massage places, you actually get to be in a room with doors!

Our therapists were both quite good, I wasn't sure if I thought the massage was that effective walking out, as I like a really hard massage, but the next day I really felt great. Plus $90 for two one hour massages is a very solid deal.

The only issue I had was that my therapist was also the woman running the storefront so twice during my massage she left to handle walk in people for a minute or two and to tell them the wait time or pricing.

I'd give zero stars for the complete lack of respect, consideration, and professionalism my party received this past Saturday, if it were an option.

I booked 3 package Bs for Saturday afternoon. My two friends and I were celebrating, as one of them is getting married next weekend, so basically it's her bachelorette weekend. Three hours before our scheduled appointments the receptionist called to confirm. She said, "you promise you're going to show, right?" I said, "of course."

We arrived 20 minutes before our appointments really looking forward to receiving some lovely treatments and instead were greeted by a little boy--maybe 7 or 8 years old no adult in sight-- who informed us that one of the estheticians had to leave so only 2 of us could receive our treatments at a time. This was not a satisfactory option considering the third person would have to wait an hour an a half which is how long the treatments were to last, and the the two who received the treatments first would have to wait an hour and a half for the third person!

Had we gone along and waited, it's not like their facilities are very nice. They're kind of cheesy and cheap looking. Calling this place a spa is a stretch. It wouldn't have been a relaxing experience and we could figure that out without even getting past the front desk.

We'd traveled out of our way and booked our appointments in advance. We were so disappointed and disgusted that the manager wasn't at the front desk waiting to greet us and explain and fix their error, but instead let a child handle their mess. He said someone tried to call us but we didnt answer--it couldn't have been more than 45 minutes before our appointment in which case we were enroute on the subway!

Fortunately we found a place nicer and classier than Zen Garden Spa to get our treatments that was able to take us without appointments so our day wasn't ruined.

I just got a massage there and it was awesome.

The place is cute, clean, and newly renovated.
The service was friendly. (though my masseuse spoke very little English)
The massage was the amazing Chinese kind thats painful yet so good. Just the right amount of pressure and lots of emphasis on the acupressure points.

I can't wait to try out the facials.

I've gone to Zen Garden Spa 3 times now since it opened and I love it. The space is clean, brand new and the owner is very kind. I've decided to get my facials here from now on, because 1. the value 2. the price and 3. the service. It's nice to be able to stay in my neighborhood for a really relaxing facial and not have to trek all the way to manhattan. I'm always super relaxed and my face always feels amazing and looks great everytime after.

This place is wonderful. I have a friend from the city to comes to visit me once a month just so we can spend Sunday afternoon at Zen Garden Spa. She gets a massage and I get a facial. They just raised their facial prices but it is worth the $15 bump. The facial is the best I've ever had and my friend raves about their massages for hours after we leave. I was hesitant to write a review because I don't want them to become too crowded but here it is, they are freaking amazing. And nice. And clean.

Massage was just Ok. Also just a thin wall separating the rooms and all rooms have an open ceiling, so you can hear everything.

I went on a Sunday for the hydrating facial. The facial was probably one of the best facials I have received. It was only $60 for the facial and lasted approximately an hour and 20 minutes. She put on a mask that she said needed to set for 15 minutes and I was expecting to just sit and wait but instead she gave me a full body massage while I waited!!! Totally worth the $60. I definitely plan on going back. Plus my skin looked and felt amazing afterwards!

Omg! I found my heaven and her name is Zong. Amazing hands and technique! I went for half hour but ended with an hour. I consider my self very picky when it comes to massages and only a couple has met my standards for over 10 years. Tip her more than 20 percent because her massages are already worth a hundred but she only charges half.

Very good leg and bikini waxing with high quality wax, thorough and makes every effort to make it painless.
The facial was a special treat, my face was glowing and I was totally relaxed after a most wonderful massage. I highly recommend this neighborhood place - it is friendly and affordable. Excellent products, too.

I went there for the first time yesterday to get a deep tissue massage. I get them a lot and this was definitely one of the most effective ones. I feel sore today but that is a big indicator it was done properly. The lady really focused on the areas that were bothering me. It was also one of the cheapest I've ever paid for a massage in NYC - $48 for an hour massage. I sent my boyfriend there today and he absolutely loved it too!

This place is amazing. I love it!

On top of that the place is just really clean and cozy and staff is really really nice. They sell very cut gift sets too!
