Zoes Kitchen

Our first visit - ordered chicken & steak kabobs & they were delicious. Shared a hummus trio, also excellent. Prices reasonable, friendly service, delicious healthy food- winner winner!

Smoking hot day in Asheville, I usually run 5-10lbs less in the summer as I feel lighter and better in the heat. So if I'm going to be out in it I like to keep it low calorie, healthy, no bloating sustainable energy for the rest of the day. That can be pretty hard when everyone want's pizza or tacos and beer, luckily I found Zoes right down the road from us.

Asheville has a decent culinary scene downtown and surrounding areas, I think you have to choose to eat here. Something for everyone, I got greek salad, some kabobs on the side, wife got a tomato bisque and daughter got the salmon. They also have cauliflower rice that you can customize with protein choice. Everything was great, not cheap but pretty good.

Went hiking for the next 3 hrs and had no problems, plenty of energy, light on my feet, felt good. Clean food does that for you, I know Zoes is a chain but this was alright, no problem with Z's two thumbs up!

Upon entry, the gentleman behind the counter kept his back to us and when finally turned around he wasn't very welcoming. I asked for a specific item that used to be on the menu and immediately they would accommodate me. So we ordered what we thought might taste ok and to no surprise our food was horrible. This was the least of our worries as the entire eatery was disgustingly dirty from the dining to bathroom. As we were sitting there waiting and watching other who arrived after us receive their food first we almost walked out. Others in the dining area were commenting on the cleanliness as well. This was a planned trip from Johnson City as we don't have a Zoe's kitchen with the last time enjoying what we used to love was in Austin Texas. I will assure you we will not be back.

I ordered online around 2005 and there's a pretty good selection along with the ability to customize majority of the order. I wasn't able to change anything on entrees, but I could with sides. Maybe only certain things are customizable.

The online order didn't give me an estimate of when my order would be ready, but I figured it's Friday night dinner time so it might be a bit.

Getting into the actual parking lot is a bit difficult because it's off a side road that hidden, but they had extra parking across the small street and there's a gas station right next door that you could park and walk up to.

I get there about 2045 and I see online orders on a pick up shelf, but none were mine. No worries, mine's probably next. There were about 4-5 college aged employees working the counter (closing registers, sweeping, etc) and a few in the kitchen. I believe the dining room is now open, but no customers were there nor on the patio.

After getting my drink and seeing a few people coming in and picking up their orders, I'm still waiting around about 5-10 minutes. One of the counter employees asked what my order was, I told them, and they were scrambling to put it together.

They said one of the soups I had ordered wasn't good (whether they ran out, it expired, or what ever their reason was), they gave an extra soup of something else.

I told them, "that was sweet and thank you." I should have double checked my order before I left (picture included.) I had ordered no cheese, onions, and olives on my side salad, but probably because they were scrambling to close the restaurant up. The cooks didn't double check the order, and I didn't see the expo person check it before giving it to me.

Hey, we all make mistakes no matter what age. I used to work in the restaurant business so I understand. However, just need to double check things because someone could be highly allergic to an ingredient that may have been thrown in someone's order.

Overall, I'd eat here with caution. Maybe during lunch they'd be ok. Both soups were cold, the extra unwanted ingredients, the chicken tasted questionable, and wait time, I'd recommend going somewhere else.

My review for this place is: "meh."
I got the power grain bowl with salmon. The salmon portion size was so small! There's no way this is a 4oz serving. I asked the employee if this was normal and he said yes, and then provided me an extra side of salmon for the inconvenience.

I love Zoes Kitchen! We came to the Biltmore this weekend and were looking for somewhere for a quick dinner and found Zoe's close by. As we are not from the area, this location is just a little bit odd as it is located off of a one way street, we did not realize it until we were honked at going the wrong way which GPS took us down. Some of the parking is also across the street, which is where we parked.

When we walked in, it was quite dead, only one other table. So we knew we would get food quickly. However, because of this, I think the staff's mood was on par with a dead restaurant on a Saturday evening. Not lively or outgoing, just bodies there to take and deliver our order.

As I wasn't too hungry, my husband and I split the spinach and mushroom piadina and added chicken. I have had this before and love it, and this time it was good, but it had a spicy kick to it, so I'm not exactly sure what they may have added this time.

Overall, I highly recommend Zoes Kitchen as it is one of my favorites, but this location just needs service improvements.

How awful could a falafel sandwich be? When it comes on brown white bread if you can imagine. Just no excuses.

The food was aight and the customer service was kinda trash HOWEVER I saw Merle there and he was looking fine AS HELLLL (as usual) anyway I would prob give this place 2 stars but Merle was there so you already know it's 5. I could stare at that butt ALLLLL day bro

I've had a good surprise when I ordered food here.
This was my 1st (and so far only) experience with this chain. I'm used to see it around but this time this was the closest restaurant to me on a town I'm just passing by so I decided to give it a try an oh boy! this was delicious.
Everything tasted and looked fresh and freshly made and not your regular chain-plasticky-food!

And this location specifically was really good, in a great location and had the food ready to be picked up at the right time (maybe even few minutes early).

Will definitely eat again on Zoes Kitchen in other locations and for sure on this one when I'm back in the area.

Still yuck selling old food that's been warmed up ain't it. It's a shame I wasted money eating this I probably could have found something better in the Creek next to the building. Hated it!!!
