I remember being down in the dumps one day last October, and a friend from my past suggested we come hear to drown our sorrows during their happy hour. I met her down the street, and we proceeded down Larkin St. towards our destination.
I first got hooked into this place due to their Lychee Mojitos. Once the alcohol started coursing through my veins, I started feeling a bit more open to try some of their food. My friend had suggested trying the Wild Mushroom and Truffle Oil pizza, and we managed to put one down. Let me tell you...it's the closest thing to heaven you can put on a flatbread pizza.
Months later, my SO hears my constant ranting about how amazing their MTO pizza is, and I finally got her to come up to the city to share one with me. We also tried their Cheese, Basil and Tomato pizza, Pomegranate Martini, Lychee Martini, and a glass of their Riesling. To top it all off, our desert was a brownie á la mode.
Since then, my SO and I have become regulars at this spot. We tend to frequent this area on Wednesdays due to the lighter crowd towards the beginning of happy hour. That, and the fact that I get out of class in the city right when their happy hour starts. Even on Wednesday nights, this spot does get crowded towards the end of the happy hour festivities. I can only imagine what weekends may be like in this place.
If you're ever in town, I suggest you stop by. This is definitely one of those hidden gem lounge areas worth frequenting.
