I love this hotel, it's gorgeous! I've been here on a few different occasions for brunch, or a cocktail at sunset and so on. The view is amazing! I finally stepped foot in one of the rooms, this last visit and now I feel the urge to share.. Every single inch of this hotel is top-notch...including the rooms... from the curtains, to the decor, to the fireplace, to even the closet doors! The bathrooms are luxurious, the bed.. VERY cozy. Rooms are immaculate! The service is over the top-- absolutely 5-star fabulous from the second I pull up to valet, to the minute I leave everytime (yes, I've said this before in other reviews, but these guys deserve to be mentioned, for being so on point!)
There is even a view of the ocean with the waves breaking on to the sand 24 hours a day, 7-days a week. There is a spotlight from the roof of the hotel pointed directly over the little beach down past the fire pits, courtyard and what I think is the 9th hole.. and it's sooo beautiful!
Ah.. Gotta love the Ritz. ;-)
I absolutely love this hotel. Sooo classy and so beautiful, with a staff that will go way out of their way to help you get anything that you need. The rooms are very comfortable and each have a stand up shower along with a jacuzzi tub. I don't think it's possible to have a "bad" view from any room here, because every angle you look from is gorgeous. It's simply a magical place with the bagpipes playing every night by the fire pits outside, to the ultra chic lounge areas, to the amazing views of Monterey Bay. I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat!
My eyes have been opened to a whole new level of thinking in regards to the Clift. I got the opportunity to check out one of the suites and wow-- if I could live in this particular room, full time, 100% of the year, I would be one happy camper.
The suites are absolutely gorgeous, spacious, and classy. I love the huge dining room table with the mirror like orange surface. The lounge area (in the suite!) with the classy chairs with claw hoofs, and the couch with the furry cheetah pillows and blankets, as well as the parlor area/ powder room beside the bathroom are absolutely divine! I love it-- Now that I have seen the suite, I can see how the Clift can be such a dreamy place.. I love it!
This is one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed in-- partially because of the eco-friendly stance they take towards almost everything in their hotel! I've stayed at this company's other hotel (Hotel Healdsburg) and they are very similar, except that the HH has slightly bigger rooms and a more traditional look, rather than contemporary, like the h2.
The service here is amazing! The staff was able to answer any questions we had with no hesitation. They continually went out of their way to accomodate even the craziest requests!
There are "water stops" in the hallways with filtered water room temperature, cold or sparkling! If you've been tasting a little too much or feel like you just passed through the Sahara Desert for a night-- and day-- the free water in the hallway is like finding a treasure box filled with gold. I love it-- and to top it off, there are refillable glass jars in the rooms and in the lobby! yelp.com/user_local_phot…
The beds are absolutley delightful. I slept like a rock throughout the entire night. They even have two seperate down comforters on top (side by side aka European style.) This is great, because then that conversation of trying to figure out who stole all the blankets the night before is non-existant. I think this should be mandatory at every hotel!
The bedrooms are so smart! The hotel key must go in a slot to actually turn on all the lights in the room; so while you're away from the room, no energy is being used!yelp.com/user_local_phot… I only experienced this in Mexico City at a Holiday Inn there. It's about time hotels in the US start catching on to this trend that is going on everywhere else in the world! Way to go h2, for leading the way (in the US.)
One more thing I have to mention, is that I love their shampoo/conditioner/ bath gel and lotion! yelp.com/user_local_phot… It's all reusable containers with pumps from the spa at HH. The products are a great quality with natural ingredients and strong scents of lemon sage and blood orange. There are soooo many other hotels that should do this! We would save soo much energy (making the containers for the soaps and shampoos) if every single hotel abided by this method!
This hotel is such an amazing space, with good, clean energy and a wonderful staff. It is also in the perfect location-- right downtown Healdsburg, a block off the square. It's in the perfect location to walk to several of the tasting rooms right downtown. I really like this hotel-- a ton of other hotels should see the example they've set and follow! :-)
I was down in Monterey, and heard through a friend about this resort in Marina. Lucky me, I got the best suite in the entire complex (it was right on the edge of the sand dunes and ocean.) It was gorgeous-- with a little parlor area with a couch as soon as you walk in the door, a fireplace, kitchenette area and a beautiful bed and bathroom! The suite I stayed in had a patio right on the sand dunes facing the ocean which was within a few footsteps of the beach.
Half the resort is timeshares and the other half is single standing cabin-like bungalows made into 2-3 rooms and suites, rented nightly. About half of the buildings or bungalows, have little golf cart porches attached, because there are no cars allowed beyond a certain point. The no car policy is great and so much fun; driving the golf carts all over the premises is an adventure on it's own.
The type of sleep I got here was amazing. It was so quiet, so peaceful and just as it says in the name, like a sanctuary. There is a restaurant on the property that you can drive your golf cart to and park right in front but it is simply The restaurant there okay, nothing to rave about, but it's great that you can get all boozed up and not have to worry about any DUIs on your little golf cart ride home. The hotel is absolutely amazing--this is the perfect place to get away and it's only about 15 minutes from the wharf in Monterey.
Go here, wish I could remember the suite #, but just ask for the best suite, right where the beach meets the sand dunes, it's breathtaking and well worth your money!
Being a girl that has been to Reno on more than a few occasions, I feel I have the right to give this Reno "vacay spot", a proper review.
Ladies and gentleman, this is by far, as good as it gets in the exotic car making, biker central, brothel and stripper mecca of Nevada (aka Reno!) It is everything you could hope and wish for in this 3 star town....
Grand Sierra is as good as it gets! Top of the line... (seriously!) So if I only woke up in the beginning of my life, opened my eyes and saw the barely thriving town of Reno, I would live a very ordinary life, and not be exposed to much other than 2-3 star places and the good old original casinos of early America. One day, I would meet some one special and want to sweep them off their feet, blow them away and get them the best experience that $75.00 could get them....
I then would proceed to take them here. I would book one of the Legacy Suites, and completely impress them with my very luxurious and expensive (on Reno's terms) quarters of the Grand Sierra.
Bathrooms covered entirely in granite (excluding the mirrors and toilet of course) and shower heads that make you forget time, space and everything in between when you are under their magic.
The beds (in the new rooms) are dream worthy and extremely cozy, draped with down comforters and built with mattresses that feel like clouds sliced right out of heaven floating through the sky. (At least that's how I felt after a bottle of vino, a very comfy eye-mask and the current "significant other" by my side!!)
There are numerous perks about staying at the Grand Sierra...
~Access to the "Nikki Beach" (now don't forget folks, this is RENO!) pool area, cabanas, and bar is on the house or graciously discounted!
~Shows (like mini versions of Cirque du Soleil or concerts) are going on right in the auditorium, which is a walk through the casino (No DUIs for this girl!)
~There are Italian, Mexican, Japanese, or American restaurants in the building (plenty of choices!!)
~ My personal favorite is there is even a wine bar here! (yay!)
So, if you are making your way out to Reno, or just trying to stay in a decent place, (in order to get the most bang for your buck, of course) Go HERE. It's tha best that lil' ole Reno has got to offer!! Seriously!
I can't officially say that I've lived here, but I've stayed here as a guest a few times. It's a beautiful property in a convenient location with an extremely strict security company on duty all the time. There is valet parking always available including a bellman service. Every one that I encountered here was fairly friendly and if I ever had a problem, it was resolved immediately (i.e. the toilet was clogged while I was visiting and the maintenance man was up almost immediately to fix it!)
It's literally right across the street from the Aventura Mall, Equinox and the Don Shaffer Exercise Trail (the 2.46 mile loop around Country Club Drive). The lobby is entirely granite and marble as well as most of the lobbies near the elevators. The building is kept immaculately clean and very safe. I would definitely consider living here, if I ever moved back entirely to Aventura.
I love this hotel. I love everything about it.... from the bellman to the beach bar out back; nothing but quality at this Sheraton. I booked the beach side king suite and it was worth all $110 per night. The view of the beach along with the price made my life heavenly.
The rooms were very clean, the front desk was more than accomodating and the proximenty to the beach (it's right on the sand) all make this place worth while! There is even complimentary towel and beach chair service for the guests! Along with a pool overlooking the beach!
I've stayed at a few other hotels on Fort Lauderdale Beach, and I must say this is right up there, as one of my absolute favorites!
After recently staying at a W, I was pleasantly reminded of how amazing and wonderful these hotels are!!!!!! I slept like a baby for the first time in a week of my Fort Lauderdale/ Miami trip, the night I stayed here in one of their beach view suites. Everything about this hotel is cool and extremely comfortable. By far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in on the Fort Lauderdale strip.
The Ritz Carlton hotels are golden in my eyes. Every property I have been to of theirs, has been unforgettable with staff that carry sophistication, class and genuine customer service skills. Our party of three stayed on the premises of this hotel our entire trip to Laguna Niguel! We had everything we needed: two pools and jacuzzis to choose from, a spa for beauty treatments, three different restaurants and even 24 hour food and drink service in club level. We stayed in two different suites, the first night overlooking the pool, the second night overlooking the ocean. If I were to ever go back, I would opt for the ocean view the whole time.
The spa was fairly small, but had everything needed with steam room, sauna, seven-headed waterfall showers, a relaxation room and full locker room with all the standard toiletries (deodorant, hairspray, lotion, a blow-dryer and hair straightener.)
The restaurants and the bar had great cuisine even marking off specific items that were gluten-free for all those celiac folks out there.
I love the Ritz....plush bedrooms, mesmerizing views, superb service. Always consistent, always providing the best accommodations and experiences.:)
