The meat here is so fresh and good! I had their nachos and my BF has their shrimp burrito. He felt that shrimp burrito was okay but my nachos were so good! The guacamole tasted fresh and the meat did as well. Doesn't seem like they use too much oil in their food, which makes me feel a lot better when I decide to have this for dinner.
Came here for the first time for the LA Art Show and it was a good experience. Seemed like there were many other shows going on since there were various check-ins and registrations. Nonetheless, it was easy to find where we were going. Once inside, the set-up was easy to go through and there was ample space in between to be able to talk and observe the art pieces. One thing is that many of the "bar" areas only took cash instead of credit card...I think only one took credit card and the line was longgg just to get water or a beverage. Other than that, it was a good experience for it being my first time at the convention center.
Target is my favorite store but this Target is BUSY!! Since it's busy, it messier than other Targets. I would recommend going to another Target unless you are okay with dealing with so many people.
One good thing though: there is a Starbucks inside!
I came here to celebrate a friends birthday...and well I wasn't too thrilled with the venue. Theres only one bathroom stall for the ladies...and I dont think it's any different for the guys since they had a line longer than the girls. The area where the dj is, is all outdoors so you are able to smoke there. It just seems kind of raunchy and I would only go back because of a bday, not cause I actually wanted to.
It's nice here! I came on a Sunday afternoon to walk about and get out of the house. I had come here before to Mountain Bar so I had really only checked it out at night. During the day, many shops were still open despite it being almost 5pm on a Sunday. You will find here many traditional Chinese clothing and shoes. Along with that, there are souvenirs including tea sets, swords, and Chinese lanterns. It's nice to check out, besides, Chinese New Year is coming up and theyre supposed to have a huge parade!
So one of my new years resolutions is to try different types of foods and get out of my comfort zone. Hopefully I remember to document each event through yelp! While in Chinatown, we decided to have Chinese food at this restaurant. The interesting part about this restaurant is that everyone who was eating there was Latino. There were no Asian people eating here. I wondered if it's considered a more "Americanized" restaurant. None the less, the food was really good and inexpensive. We had fried rice with chicken that was about $6, noodles with beef that was about another $6, and orange chicken. The orange chicken was the most expensive, coming out to about $11 but I think it was because this wasn't your regular orange chicken from Panda Express. This chicken was infused with the various flavors it was cooked in. Definitely must try it. It's a different taste, but a good taste.
We had complimentary tea and just asked for water while we were there. Their customer service was not great. I mean they didn't greet us in a cheerful way nor did they ask if we wanted more water unless we asked for it. It might be a cultural thing because I didn't think they were being rude, just different from what I have experienced before.
This place must be pretty popular though because as we were leaving, more and more people were showing up!
I love this place!!! Since I just got my annual pass, I am super excited that I can come here and Disneyland as many times as I wish (as long as it isnt a blacked out day). I got to go on soarin through california, had a beer in their food area that reminded me of fishermans wharf, got on the carsland attraction, had old fashioned ice cream, played the toy story game...etc etc etc...at the end of the night i got the see the show World of Color. Great time!!
This place was an interesting experience. When we first got here we waited a few minutes for our table and finally we were seated. Literally less than a minute of us sitting, a server comes over and asks if we know what we want. She was rude about it too. It's like okay do you not notice that we literally just sat down??? We told her no and then some other guy came and took our order after. The food was really good and their "water" was tasty. It's like infused with green tea or something. It is all you can eat which is nice. I did notice that they need better ventilation or something because my eyes were hurting because of all the smoke. I don't know if it was that someone burned something or what but it just didn't seem normal.
One thing though, their beef is delicious!
