Let me start by saying I LOOOOOVE THAI FOOD!!! now onto the review...
Although this was a no +1 event I had a blast meeting all the other Yelp elites and getting their top Yelp pics to eat from LA to LV. Everyone was so pleasant to be around and the event staff and management kept the alcohol flowing. The White Wine: Rancho Sisquoc Riesling was my favorite!! Both sakes were perfect!
I loved the morning glory salad. I would've loved that as an entree even. Light and refreshing.
The crying tiger beef was a bit dry for my taste. Perhaps if it was cooked a little more rare I would've loved it because it was seasoned perfectly.
I am a curry fanatic and by far I could've had a tub of the yellow curry with fish balls. I would totally order that dish again and again. The creamy texture and mild curry flavor make this dish out of this world!.
The pad prik king with crispy pork was also tasty. I would order it with chicken for a lighter fare.
The Pad see Ew with tofu was scrumptious. The tofu was cooked perfectly and the noodles were delectable.
Overall I loved this experience.
The parking here is horrendous as it is anywhere in Westwood. Other than that I'd be back in a heartbeat. :)
Food here is fantastic. We started with the Calamari and yummy bread. It was delicious. I opted for the Mahi mahi and the husband got the chicken dish. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be going back for more seafood dishes. Definitely do not miss the calamari. Also they have free wifi and one heck of a view.
I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about but based on my experience I really have no complaints. I walked in after work without an appointment, was called immediately to a chair and was out about 20 mins later. Loved my hair cut. I got a trim and I paid and left. What more do you need?
Things I've purchased at galleria Market:
Mochi Ice cream
Salmon Sashimi to make homemade Sushi rolls
Cake from Tous Les Jours
pretty much if you have an Asian ingredient you're looking for, they have it. The workers weren't too helpful though. I'll never forget roaming through the produce section not knowing what lemongrass looks like and the overwhelming feeling of success when I found it. LOL
Definitely bookmark this location when you're in the valley and looking to cook up an Asian inspired meal!
Blegh. Fast food sushi? Why?! Came here with a friend fro dinner but we both left not too amused with the food. I got a salmon poke bowl and it took them 3 times to ask me am I sure I wanted Salmon and tuna. YES! what does SALMON Poke bowl mean??? Meh. I'll probably never be back for a repeat performance beacuse it's just not worth it. Make the drive to Oki Doki for some real fish!
This was such an awesome Yelp Event to get invited to. Check in was a breeze and the location was super easy to find.
Once we were inside, we grabbed a couple bags to stuff our goodies in. Since we were hungry we headed right over to the food. We got some sort of chicken wrap and a Greek salad which were both delicious. However I noticed that the business wasn't promoting it self like the Sweet E's booth or the Keurig and YougurtLand Booth. How am i supposed to know where to go to when I want to visit your business?
We were stuffed before we could even get on deck of the boat but when we got up there more food and drinks covered the deck. There was delicious moscato by Stella Rosa and and vita margarita which was a bit strong for my taste. My husband was a huge fan of Isabella's Cookie Co and when he asked if they had any samples of the Maui wowie and they didn't the booth person told him to open his yelp bag and handed him an entire bag of the full sized cookies. He was so overjoyed. :)
The giant jenga game was so fun to watch. Especially since by this time, people have had some alcoholic beverages and are very hap hazard with the game.
Overall this was a fantastic event and we are totally looking forward to visiting the USS Iowa again.
Thank God my husband sent me here. I came on Yelp to check the reviews and sure enough they mentioned early bird mondays and wacky wednesdays where a car wash is only $5. It was exactly what my poor dirty car needed. you canpay extra for a tire shine too and vacuum afterwards yourself but honetly my car didn't need it and I made it to work on time too. Perfect when I just need to get my filthy car clean. Thanks ES 5 Minute Express CW. I'll be back.
I found my new local Food 4 Less and I cannot complain. Usually there are a decent number of registers are available. Really good prices on produce and meat. Usually have lots of variety and people are helpful if you can't find what you need. Definitely my go to when I want to stop by after work to help me fix up a quick yummy dinner.
One star off for the fact they only have a liquor license til midnight! why?!!!!!!
Nevertheless the ambiance is out of this world. We've never had a problem getting seated. Love that they provide blankets as soon as you sit.
There isn't really a bad seat in the house (on the roof? LOL) unless you're sitting by the hostess booth in which you have to listen to them chat all night. :/ Avoid that booth if you can.
The drinks are tasty and pricey. I ordered the girl next door and it was too strong so sent it back with no problems. The also have a nice food menu. Everything is pretty price but I guess you're paying for the location too right?
Nevertheless this is a great kick back spot in Venice and totally not grimy like the rest of the area. Can't wait to come back to try the sliders!
In n Out in 15 minutes...
(WITH AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE WHAT NORMAL PERSON GOES TO THE DMV WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT!) LOL
A big private lot so no problem there!
Employees were helpful and friendly.
Hadn't received my tags in the mail so walked in with a change of address form. Had to fill out another form to get replacement tags & registration card. All in all I was literally bakc on the road 15 mins later and there was no one in the "appointment" line however the walk in s line was out there door. :(
Make an appointment people!
Really nice bar area. Purse hook and electrical outlets are located under bar. Nice.
Came here with a group of ladies and had the bang bang shrimp tacos. It was so yummy and flavorful. Everyone else loved their dishes as well. This was a midweek dinner and they were able to accommodate a group of 8 of us with no problem. I love the decor and ambiance.
FYI, If you are no longer honoring a yelp check in deal, REMOVE IT!!
My group got excited to check in only to be told that oh sorry we don't honor our yelp offer anymore and we do instagram now. SERIOUSLY? then remove it from your Yelp.
On to the food.
All the rolls were pretty good. The rice to fish ratio was fine. the sunshine rolls, so sexy, titanic and sashimi salad were delicious.
They offered us free beet since we waited for 45 minutes to be seated. I did find it disturbing that the one waiter was constantly taking shots with the patrons and no one saw a problem with that. I'm pretty sure that should be illegal? at least its in bad taste to the manager. UNPROFESSIONAL.
Overall if it was a smaller group i'd definitely come back however, if you're more than 3 people i'd find somewhere else. Joe's sushi probably has more space and less wait time to accomodate a big group.
So after my first experience with the soggy salad, i took my own suggestion and now that is my absolute go to dish at Oki Doki! Love this place. Not only affordable but the fish is consistently fresh and on point. and the service has always been spot on. Yum, I'm heading there now for lunch. :)
So I'll preface my review by saying I'm not a fan of Hawaiian flavors. (Sorry) :(
That being said I enjoyed coming here and giving it a try. I had the garlic chicken and man was it garlicky. whew! I thought I wouldn't like the cabbage but it was quite tasty when dipped in the teriyakki sauce. the chicken too. that was my one let down with this meal, that I had to dip it in sauce for it to palatable. My husband loved the loco moco.
So I don't think the food isn't good i just think it's not my preferred meal. If you're into Hawaiian food, I'd totally give it a try.
Ah cholada. Why must u disappoint? So the rice came with a hair in it which they immediately corrected and the bill came with different prices than shown on the menu. :/ oh well. I understand paying more cuz the location but at least let the customers know ahead of time. We asked them to fix it and they did right away like they knew they overcharged. I may reconsider a future visit however the overall food was good.
This place was delicious and affordable. I ordered the Panang Curry as I always do at any Thai restaurant and it was delicious of course however it was definitely not mild. In order to fix the mistake they gave us another rice for free which was nice of them. We figured it was too late to fix it and it would be easier to just get more rice to make the spice bearable. One of the people in our party got the noodle curry which was absolutely delicious and going back there I would definitely order that. Other than that, the ambiance was great, the price was affordable, and the meal was delicious. Also the Thai iced tea was yummy!
As my co worker stated it is A-OK. You def get a lot of food for the price you pay. When you want a quick meal by the airport (or by my work in my case) this is a great place to go.
My only gripe was the bok choy was dirty and should have been washed better but I only know that from cooking with bok choy to check in between the leaves.
The food comes out super fast. The flavors are just what you would expect in Chinese cuisine. I always go for the beef broccoli and it was yummy as expected. The service was quick and friendly.
This place is gorgeous. I just wanted to sit outside and admire the architecture. The entire center is beautifully designed and there are plenty of stores to satisfy all your shopping needs. Lots of delicious dining options, from Brazilian food to Cheesecake Factory. All the stores are so neat and clean. Very organized. Nordstroms and Macys are 2 large department stores in the mall and they validate parking. Shop there to get free parking. Unfortunately both restaurants don't validate. The do have valet parking available but parking is easy and plentiful.
NO THRIFTY ICE CREAM?!!! How is that even possible. Plus it closes at 9 PM like one other reviewer said. Major bummer when you're traveling and need a last minute item that you forgot to pack. It's close to the airport so that's the only plus AND I found Lindor Truffles with hazelnut chocolate inside. Also good idea to pick up water to leave in your hotel for your trip.
George is great. I called and asked the price for getting my spark plugs replaced. He quoted me $100 and honored that price when I came in. Of course when they did an inspection they found a few other things I needed to get work done on which they notified me of which was going to cost me hundreds of dollars. I kindly took the advice and left with new spark plugs installed. I would consider them in the future as not many places like to install customer provided parts. Thanks George!
This Macy's is awesome! It's huge and has everything you possibly could need. I loved the cleanliness and organization of everything. Always visit Macy's with a few coupons in hand or ask the cashier for any sales going on. They are always happy to help.
Came in here with my husband and friend for some yummy desserts after dinner at Rocoto. We weren't sure what to try so we asked the cashier and he told us the Brioche Bread is their most popular and he even went to grab one for us from the bakery case. We also opted for the mango delight dessert. The bread was pretty delicious however I'm not a huge fan of breads. I love desserts however and that was the downfall of this place.
The dessert case was less than impressive after frequenting Porto's for so many years. The Mango dessert was less than delicious. I didn't even want to finish and 2 weeks later its still sitting in our fridge (probably moldy).
Our friend was looking for the chocolate chip bread bowl which he was raving about and only to find that they were all out and wouldn't have any for another 45 minutes. He was quite upset about that. All in all I wouldn't be in any hurry to come back and would rather drive to Downey for the real thing.
The only thing about this place that is horrible is the wait time. I've never been here without having to wait a minimum of 45 min to 1 hr. Granted we always come in a group of 5 or more. The best thing to do is to grab a table at the bar area. The outdoor seating is nice but not always worth the wait. Of course my plan is to always get a skinnylicious salad in order to make sure you have an 800 calorie slice of 30th anniversary cheesecake. Why else would you visit right? :)
Pleasantly surprised with our discovery of another Peruvian place. This is definitely an upscale classy place to take a date to if you want Peruvian food. The bread & sauces are both more delicious than Pollo Inka however their saltados are not. If I'm in the mood for delicious Pollo or Lomo Saltado and I had a choice of the two I'd definitely take Inka's over Rocoto. However needless to say the food and ambiance was still great. They have TVs to watch the latest games and a full bar.
For someone that has visited Fogo de Chao and can make Brazilian Cheese Rolls at home for a weeknight dinner, I've had my fair share of Brazilian food. I have to say that this place has far exceeded the quality of Fogo. I was beyond impressed by their salad bar options.
YOU MUST TRY THE LOBSTER BISQUE. DO NOT PASS IT UP!
Adding to that they have numerous salad and cheese options as well as shrimp and sushi. They bring to your table bread, garlic mash and the bananas. everything was exceptionally delicious. I also had a mango mimosa which was yummy.
The scary part was the bill. I've never spent that much dining out alone but it was worth every penny being on business travel and all.
This is the most beautiful secluded beach in the Malibu area. it's almost hidden if you're not looking for it. There are people dining in the cave like formations, children frolicking among the sand and marina life in the rocks. It a beautiful and serene beach to visit if you are in the Malibu area. You have to pay for parking in the lot or park across the street for free! just be careful when crossing!
Wow. Such an awesome event to get to attend.
This was my first YELP Elite event to attend. I had never been to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts but it was pretty easy to find. Parking was easy, $8 to self park $16 to valet. The building is beautiful. Gorgeous renovations done on it. There's no way you can tell it was an old post office bldg.
The play was great. I didn't expect to get into the story line but I did. The acting was actually very good. The transitions where a gush of wind & sounds of waves comes through the stage and the actors sway with the sound was very well done. My favorite was perhaps when the actors simulated a train driving through the stage. it was so believable.
Overall if there is another opportunity to come to this theater to watch another production my husband and I definitely will.
Thanks Brittany B for the tickets!
This was the original branch where I opened my account. This branch is in a small shopping center on the corner of tampa and nordhoff by a vitamin store. They have parking readily available and a drive up ATM. The branch is usually not crowded as long as you're not there on 1st and 15th when people get paid. The tellers are all very friendly. The security doors are somewhat obnoxious but worth the safety I guess.
My husband is clearly a connoisseur of the outdoors because he has taken me to so many of these beautiful parks in PV. This place was like a hidden treasure to me. The location and the views were absolutely breathtaking. They have pits where u can BBQ and little picnic tables. My favorite part was watching my husband roll down the hill and enjoy himself like he was a kid again. It made me fall in love with him all over again. A beautiful park to bring someone you care about and just enjoy the beauty of God's creation.
P.S. Plenty of parking.
I have only been here once but that's all it took for thispark to have a special place in my heart. My wonderful husband proposed to me here and it was the perfect location. He had a picnic setup under a tree and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Defintely a romanitc setting and beautiful views. Has some nice trails to hike as well although we haven't done any yet.
Side note: There was no bathroom that we could find so I'm not sure if there is one and we couldn't find it or there just really isnt one there. :)
Minus 3 stars for super slow and low grade service. (it's a chain duh)
Came here recently for a private lunch event on a Saturday. We had our own special menu with many options.
I started with the clam chowder which was hearty and delicious. it was loaded with clams and potatoes. For my entree I got the simply grilled chicken. The chicken was nicely grilled however the veggies were soggy and the mashed potatoes were forgettable.
A few things to note:
-We were a group of probably 80 people and children.
-We got there when they opened (11am) and didn't gt our meals til 1pm by which time people were starving.
-one person got their decaf coffee with green leafy things floating in it... hmmm. GROSS
Minus 1 star cuz I had to be here instead of enjoying my day off.
Was in and out in less than 25 mins. Ladies were helpful and friendly. Glad I came in instead of calling endlessly only to get nowhere. Don't bother calling. I don't think anyone ever answers that number.
So glad my husband brought me in to see Dr. Fluegel. Once he checked me out he gave me some heat therapy and then cracked my back & neck. What's great is you feel better instantly and can't wait for your next treatment. Dr. Fluegel is very friendly and so informative. He likes to teach you what is wrong and show u how to correct it in order to help you get better. Can't wait to get the orthotics I ordered!
Came here because I needed soup badly and remembered that my coworker had mentioned their Pho. Well boy was she right along with all the Yelpers! Great soup! It was just what I needed. I got the vegetarian soup with rice noodles I couldn't have meat and it was yummy. I got for take out and it was still piping hot when I sat down to eat it. Can't wait to go back and actually eat in and try the real Pho! The restaurant looks really nice too. Clean and full bar. Nice outdoor seating as well!
I just have to say that I came here on a DineLa dinner evening and was less than wowed. It's what I would expect from a Brazilian restaurant however what kind of salad bar was that? I couldn't even construct a decent plate of salad. My husband likes to argue that when you go to a Brazilian restaurant all you should be going for is the meat which I can appreciate however even the meat wasn't spectacular. The place was PACKED! The meat was super salty. The only decent thing I overindulged in was the rolls. which are irresistible. So irresistible that I've managed to replicate my own recipe at home and have been having them nightly with dinner. Yum!
Overall I'd find another Brazilian restaurant to go to and stay way from the BH hype.
I have a love hate relationship with this location. They are across the street from work so it's hard to go anywhere else however when I do come here something is bound to disappoint.
Either the salad is too spicy one time or the fried chips/tostada shells are fried in old oil that leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Yuck!
One thing I have to point out is that it's totally worth complaining about a bad experience to the BAJA mgmt because they are so prompt with their response and are always willing to throw a bunch of free food and drinks at you when you are not satisfied. I have to commend them for their excellent customer service at corporate. The local stores however leave much to be desired.
Every time I've been to this coffee bean I've gotten excellent service. It's not the biggest coffee bean but it serves its purpose. Although I'm not a fan of their iced drinks I love their hazelnut Mocha.
It gets packed at lunch so avoid the crowds and come after 2 or before 11. :)
Although we visited here after the season was just over and people were starting to pull out the bins to put away their Christmas decor, one can tell that this street is nicely lit during the holidays.
I especially liked the plaque at the end of the street which let you know you were in the right place. Although not as big as sleepy hollow (which is more Disneyland sized when compared to this small street). However for being in our neck of the woods this was such a cute little discovery.
Yum-o! Second visit here and the food has been always delicious!
Had the eggs sausage and pancakes. Hash browns were nice and crispy. The pancakes were very yummy.
If ur looking for a basic egg breakfast thats a good one to go for
My husband loves the banana nut pancakes. The expo 73 is another of his favorites. Only disappointment is I haven't been able to try the eggs Benedict yet and that's my true test of an awesome breakfast place.
Midweek breakfast means no wait no lines!
