The crab ragoon is yummy, and I like the bar. This is the kind of place I would take a secret date or something. It's close by my place so why not.
I only order the chicken nuggets and ice coffee during layovers. The sweet n sour sauce is tasty as hell. I really hope they practice ethical treatment for the chickens, but for some reason I don't think they do. Maybe I'll only order the iced coffee from here on out. The end.
Swanky as hell, sexy as sin. The ambiance is gorgeous, the music just right, the seating is comfy. I love coming here and I'm always welcomed by the staff. The food is cooked well and the drinks have the right amount of alcohol. Valet is only $15. This is the IT spot to flirt, drink and relax.
Scrumptious crab fried rice, delectable marinated asparagus, lychee martinis, dimly lit sexy ambiance, I always enjoy coming here. I also frequent their location on 2nd, but this spot is much more intimate. The food is cooked to perfection and literally melts in your mouth. Your water glass never goes empty, while the tab keeps increasing. Its soooo worth every penny...or $50 bill.
I just ordered another sandwich from these Heaven sent folks. I always rotate between the cucaroo Caribbean & moshe moshe. They are always, fresh, hot and tasty. umm umm good.
I got the ballpark hot dog-onions, cheese, mustard. It was plump & juicy. My mom got the chicken ceasar sandwich which was good too. I'm craving Spikes again for dinner tonight...is that bad?
Sweet baby Jesus this place gets better every single friggin' time. Its probably the only place that EVERYTHING is good...even the napkins. I ordered the cajun popcorn shrimp which came with honey mustard and mild cajun dipping sauces. It was amazing. Full of flavor and TLC.
My friend got the half basket of vegetarian nachos. It's enough to share with 2-3 people. A full basket will prob feed an entire football team (but don't give any to Aaron Hernandez).
This place seriously will blow your socks off. The atmosphere is cool and laid back like the peace sign. I always like bringing new folks here because they fall in love. The music is usually on point and will make you bob your head while you're eating/drinking/talking/flirting/watching sports on their TV.
Our bartender was full of smiles (She had nice teeth too) and was very pleasant and attentive.
Word! I haven't been here in a few and to my surprise they've expanded the restaurant. Now that I'm a vegetarian (1yr + 1mo) I ordered the jalapeño veggie burger (w/cheese & horseradish sauce). So good.
I love this place because the burger options and ingredients are out of this world. You can substitute any burger for a turkey or veggie patty & your order comes with amazing coleslaw & homemade chips. Double word. Although I must admit that it's hard eating the chips due to my consistent dental work & them being super crunchy on my too soft teeth *sad face* The French fries are thick cuts if potatoes and seasoned to your liking.
Ummmm I'm getting hungry just typing and revisiting such blissful memories from lunch.
I always dine here with my cousin. The ambiance is sexy with dim lighting and they usually seat us at one of the large booths. It's never too populated nor do I have to worry about bratty, noisy children running around. The food is always scrumptious and cooked to perfection. The cocktails have the right amount of alcohol.
Market Basket, or what I like to call Market Bastard is always crowded with shoppers aggressively playing a round of bumper cars with their shopping carts while rolling over your foot. They expanded this location which is truly is a blessing, with hot foods and pizza stations. I always prefer the Burlington location vs. Somerville because I like the variety of the surrounding stores. The low prices here allow me to waste my money on materialistic things to boost my self esteem elsewhere, particularly Nordstrom Rack. There is a huge parking lot which at any given time will transform into automobile musical chairs. Plenty of tables and chairs for leisure time or eating in private. Great idea for a supermarket other than Whole Foods.
Panera is simply scrumptious. They have an AMAZING chicken stew ( I added a photo),that is super creamy and filling. The lemonade is tart but refreshing. I love how all the customers inside were either in meetings or on laptops and iPads. There is free wifi that has a great connection. I had the pleasure of sitting next to two ladies who talked about man problems, and I couldn't have been more relaxed listening to their frustrations. This is a great, comfy eatery at any time of the day.
Overall I had a good experience, but my friend's card was charged twice( after our server said it had been declined) and she ended up paying cash. The lobster pizza, cheeseburger and pineapple mojito are good. There were 5 of us with the bill totaling $405(I honestly think their calculations were incorrect).Since we are such a charming group of ladies they gave us 2 complementary pizzas. We had a great time( except for my overcharged girlfriend), but we probably won't dine here together as a group again, maybe individually though.
So I think these are the best tacos I've had in sf. They chicken has a smokey mouthwatering flavor that explodes and consumes your taste buds. They were soft shell but came inside a crispy cheese shell. OMG sofa king scrumptious. They were kinds pricey (approx $21 for 3 and a watermelon juice) but worth it. The salsa & guac was fresh and flavorful. They will be seeing my face a lot now.
Welp! They've done it again!!!
I filled up on Mexican hot chocolate & a spinach/avocado scramble that came with potato hash & toast.
My friend had a slice of pecan pie that I nibbled on along with a lavender/champagne lemonade.
Everything was so delicious with great vegetarian options!
What do you get when you add smothered chicken+ potato salad + rice & beans + chicken fingers+ sweet tea+ red velvet waffles??? Two happy people! It was my friend's first time and I wanted her to love this place. She did. We went on Saturday around 2pm, the ideal time because not too many folks there. The music is always great! ALWAYS! So is the food. I love that it's open from 8am-midnight( that's a lotta fried chicken). I'll be back next weekend.
If it's one thing you must try, its the delicious cocktail "mucho gusto"(el jimador, pineapple, coconut water, lime, agave). I lunched with a friend here to catch up on school/ hometown gossip and had a nice time. Our waiter was constantly checking in on us and kept our glasses filled. I can't remember what I ordered but I do remember the chips and salsa were on point.
Where the curry do I begin? I just hopped on the whole food truck thing and I love it! I ordered the chix burrito and ate it for lunch/snack/dinner for only $8. The food was super hot and fresh. The line was kinda long because everyone must know this truck is the hot spot for lunch break. The man working at the window was very nice and friendly. I mean, I would be too if my pockets were loaded from my food truck business. Annnnnnd they accept plastic!
NOTE: I'm sipping on my pho as I write.
I needed to point that out because this pho is soo good. I've never heard of pho until I moved out here to SF( ignorant, maybe so). Reading reviews from my fellow yelpers, everyone talks about how tasty pho is. I just landed in SF on a red-eye flying from NY and was feeling in the dumps. I decided to order pho from here( 2 blocks away from my apt), and I am in love. The medium is huge. It will defiantly fill you up. I'll save the rest for tomorrow. I'm having a sneezing/coughing fit now so this is where I will end my review.
Now I'm writing this review as a vegetarian.
I ordered the meatless Mike and it was fabulous.
That's all I'm going to write because less is more.
Wow! That's all I can say...but I love talking/typing, so I'll say more...
My friend & I had the pleasure of indulging in delicious, juicy fried chicken, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, etc. we ordered the Strawberry Rhubarb lemonade(vodka, strawberry rhubarb jam, lemonade, mint) it was so fresh & reminded me of summers spent in Cape Cod.
The chicken was delicious and tender. It literally fell off the bone. Our waitress was very nice, the artwork, the ambiance & live music reminded me of being in NYC( not the tenderloin). This is defiantly a place to dine at.
Maybe it's because I'm from Boston( yea I know, that doesn't mean anything), but I flippin' love this place( I accidentally found it the other day). Hot, fresh food. Nice service. The line was moving as slow as molasses though. It won't be too long until I'm the dutchess here!
My first time here and it is confirmed that every Friday bwt 5-10pm my life will now be complete. My friends and I felt like we were at a summer outdoor concert in Boston
(because that's where we are all from). My friend had her BFF visiting from Boston College and we literally had the most chilled out, relaxing fun time.
We split chicken tacos, curry up now burrito, veggie & chix empanadas, chix kebab, and some other stuff that was too good to remember. I ordered the alcohol special
(coconut infused vodka, muddled mint, and ginger beer). It was light, fresh and tropical. We pulled together chairs and sat in a circle while listening to the latino band playing a great tune. Ahhhh.
I think this will be my new Friday night hangout from 5-10pm. Its a great place to stop prior to bar hopping( which we did after) and they were giving out Nestle Quick samples( I got to take a pic with the bunny).
I took one of my Girlfriend's here for a post bday lunch. We split cold sake, crab ragoon, scallion pancakes, volcano sushi with crab meat on top & fried green tea ice cream for $50.29. Everything was very very good.
It's a little far from my house, but if you live in the area its worth the trip. There was only one other couple in there when we went (Sunday 4pm).
The soothing water sculpture relaxed me. Waiter was cool with pierced ears & spiked hair.
Let's face it. A tuna sandwich from D&D sounds skeptical, right?
Wrong, wrong, oh so wrong.
The tuna on a lightly toasted croissant is scrumptious. The lady preparing it changed her gloves everytime she handled the croissant, the tuna container, or the wrapper. Totally hygienic.
Like magic, the sandwich disappeared in the stomach.
Tuesday night. 7:50pm. I'm bolting for the bathroom feeling nauseas.
Wait. Let me rewind......
My mom was treating me to dinner for being such a great daughter. We ordered delicious strawberry lemonades, warm crab & artichoke dip and BBQ salmon.
Everything was good-except for the salmon. About 1/2 way through it(at 7:50pm) I started feeling light headed, hot, and nauseas. Not knowing why, I wrapped the rest of the food to go.
The next day my mom ate the leftover salmon & had the same symptoms.
I always order the bbq salmon & have never experienced this reaction before. Now I'm scared to ever order it again!!!
P.S-Our waiter Jensen was great.
My friends took me here as an early bday surprise dinner(since i'll be partying in Miami on my actual bday).
The host Sean was as sweet as cherry pie.
I ordered the mouthwatering fried green beans:
Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta:
And peanut butter chocolate pie:
All on the 3 for $16 menu( or something lie that). Tis includes 1 app, 1 entree and 1 dessert for around $17. SWEEEEEET!!!
Our waitress Kyanna was good but rather forgetful. Just kept forgetting drink orders, but rather polite.
My friends surprised me with a cake and the staff sang BUT the slice of cake was wrapped up to-go and my friend was pretty upset that it wasnt served on a plate with a candle( like the other table was served). We tried to calm her down but she wanted to say something to the waitress about it. We stopped her because I really didn't care.
*Another side effect of a forgetful waitress.
The food at TGI Fridays is always pretty good.
* NOTE: It's under construction, so the parking lot is super tiny. and cramped.
Happy 29th bday to meeee
My BFF(who's also a bartender here) took me out to dinner and it was worth every single shiny penny.
Peach Ciroc & lemonade- cool, crisp, and refreshing:
Raw Oysters accompanied with horseradish, vinegar & hot sauce- tasty & went down smoothly:
I ordered the chicken & waffles- came with hot sauce & syrup. Chicken was boneless and melted in my mouth. the waffle was sweet and soft:
My friend ordered the steak. Came with mashed potatoes and peppercorn gravy. So DELICIOUS(and I don't eat steak):
My other friend ordered the salmon:
I would defiantly recommend dining here. Everything we ordered was amazing. The service is superb, the other patrons were friendly, the atmosphere was exceptional.
A couple also got engaged. Such a beautiful moment to experience.
*If you go to the bar, ask for Antonia. She's awesome just like the rest of them.
Sushi sushi sushi. Hookah, frozen Miami vice's, seating on the sidewalk, people watching, rocking good time!!!
It was the bday weekend. We came here twice on Saturday. The second time stayed for 4 hours and puffed green apple & menthol tobacco. I also cat called to just about every man the walked past us. Yes, sleazy but fun!
It was great. No. Better than great!
The food is too good to be fast food! I got the grilled chicken sandwich drenched with curry mustard. The lettuce on the sandwich is fresh...oooof! Sooo good!
When I'm in Miami, this is my go to spot!
This is the best food that I think I've ever put in my mouth, chewed & swallowed.
My dear friend Tia:
and I had plans for lunch today and as we were walking the neighborhood she suggested we go here. The line is usually wrapped around the block and today it wasn't so we agreed to lunch here. I let her do all of the ordering because she loves it here. We settled into our comfy chairs ready to talk about fashion, classes & life goals when we were pleasantly interrupted by the tea leaf salad:
(the server mixes this in front of you explaining it in detail. Sooooo scrumptious. Has lots of nuts so if your allergic, surpass this dish.
Following the salad came the coconut rice & spicy, crispy chicken:
The rice was warm, full of flavor and to die for. Same with the white meat, sweet and spicy chicken. It was something to savor. So good.
I washed down the best meal on earth with a sweet Thai Iced tea:
This was the ultimate 5 star experience. The food was amazing, the service was over the top( very friendly and happy people that work here).
Lunch is the best time to come because you'll be seated promptly versus coming for dinner.
