I long ago gave up on finding a good happy hour to mix and mingle in ABQ (see this thread: yelp.com/topic/albuquerq… ) , but after a month in Santa Fe, I'd love to get out for a HH drink. Here's the thing though, Santa Fe will really make your wallet hurt having a drink or two. Even my beloved beers can start at $4.50 and head north. Those are New York prices as far as I'm concerned.
Anyhow, I do know of a few good Happy Hours: La Cumbre discounts their beers from 4-6 I believe (and Mug Club members get the big pours) and Santa Fe Brewing offers beers for $2 all day on Wednesday and from 4-6 daily. But where else?
I don't think Marble or any other brewery has Happy Hour. Back Alley does have a Happy Hour, if I remember correctly, and I need to revisit. But where else?
Recommendations, please. I prefer beer, but for the right price, I'll drink a cocktail or whisky straight.
Someone just wrote this about Bistronomy B2B "The beer was great especially during happy hour. I tried many local beers on tap that I always wanted to try at $2.00 a pint." So....there you go. Add to list.
La Cumbre has 3$ regular beers from 4-6 not specialty like the Dank. On Monday Spice Parlor has 2.50 Marbles all day. I know they have another cheap beer special day. I walk by all the time. On Sunday Nob Hill bar and grill has 3$ La Cumbre all day and usually Marble IPA. Nob Hill bar and grill happy hour on other days from 4-7 1$ off drafts, 1/2 off liquor -then Tues and Thurs it happenes again from 9-11 Geckos has Happy hour from 4-7 and 1$ off drafts. They have 2 beer and 1 or 2 liquor specials daily. Also 50 cent hot wing night Mondays after 5PM and a 5 dollar burger night on Weds. For Wine Scalo has 1/2 off wine Mondays.
Cool thanks Clayton. I live in Nob Hill so those are the ones I am familiar with. Oh Shade tree was bragging they are trying to have a beer selection comparable to Sister. You be the judge but their happy hour is 4-6. They did have old Rasputin and some Stone Selections last time I was in. I would love to hear more about other areas happy hours too.
First Turn Lounge isn't the cheapest, but does a Thursday $4 You-call-it pints night. You keep the pint glass. Selections: Bass, Batch 19, Blue Moon, Shock Top, Goose 312, Happy Camper, New Castle, Wood Chuck, Sam Adams, Marble plus the usual watered down beers. Premium is considered; Guinness, Fat Tire, Dos Equis, Post Time Ale, Stone IPA, Stella & Shiner Bock. (Lol, I know...Shiner & Dos Equis are premium??)
Another place I found was Luca pizzeria on paseo just east of Ventura. They have a bunch of apps you can eat dinner on and a nice tap list/wine list. Including one of my yummies Vanilla Porter from Breckinridge.
Instead of the "Flag as inappropriate" option, I wish there was an "agree," "thumbs up," or "yelp" button to press when you like the comments/feedback. If there was that option, I would have gave everything here the green light. I agree with Jenn "oh no, that's too fancy" H.'s answer -- B2B!
