hum.....i dont necessary agree. i believe most of the dog ended up to have bad temper cuz the owner does not know how to treat the dog right. The dog behavior is always a result of the owner's behavior. If you don't train them, then they will do whatever they want......just like kids, you need to teach them what is right or wrong.
i don't know why dogs get the benefit of the doubt. this is the second time my neighbor's chiuahua was found in my yard. and each time i tried to return her, there is no one home. so i let her into my house. and she pees on my floor.
GREG!!!! no animal abuse, not funny!!! all animals can be assholes, some its just their nature.
we had a golden retrevor that was a doll, we treated her well and trained here to come ,sit , etc......... but there was this table, if she went under it, she was NOT to be touched!!! she decided that she was aloud to be an "asshole" as long as she was under the table!
smart dog if you ask me.
i'm not kicking the dog.
i am tired of retriving her out of my backyard. tired of them not answering the door when i knock to giver her back. and i am tired of my own humanity because i wont leave her outside where she can be hit by a car, or to the will of the skunks or hawks the circle my neighborhood.
so i crate her and wait for her owners to notice that she is gone.
stephy: people don't own cats, cats own people :)
dk: yeah, we thought about it the first time. i rather be nice since they live next door. i can't imagine this little chiuahau escaping easily. she couldn't be more than 5 lbs (my toy poodle towers over her). they don't put tags on her, she has not been spayed, and she is SO disobedient. our dog likes to wander off, but we KNOW this, and we keep a watchful eye for his safety. the first time it was hours before they knew she was missing- my neighbors across the street said she was wandering around for an hour before she wandered down our driveway. it was an hour after i found her that the neighbors came out looking for her.
karen.. it's not a bad thing to call animal control. they make sure you register and tag your dog. That's all. I dont think you have to leave your name. Just say a stray dog is wandering in your neighborhood. no tags, no id. that's all.
Karen: true dat! I am lucky just to be allowed to live in my cat's apartment :) And the honor of feeding her and changing her water daily, wow, i am the luckiest human being alive! I totally deserve those rationed 18 pets I get to give her a day, haha
