As an Andersonville resident, I was THRILLED to have a new coffee shop in town! The atmosphere is nice, food and coffee are excellent, AND there is NO WIFI!
I was told by a woman at the counter that this is intentional, in an effort to prevent people from staying too long (same as the rest of their locations)... I'm so glad stool hogs no longer feel welcome to come do work here. I understand the need to keep chairs available for new patrons. No Wifi is the sole reason I will choose La Colombe over Starbucks down the street. Brilliant!
Please don't change your policy. I'll gladly come support your business!
one of these days,
i'll give all'y'all the rundown on where to find the best corned beef hash in 3 states.
i'll be hitting up howard's whenever i get the urge to clog a ventricle.
eggs were perfectly over-easy and the hash was fresh.
i'm usually a fan of straight up hash browns on the side,
but their homestyle potatoes were pretty tasty.
and yes, the waitstaff is awesome.
when i retire,
i'm going to spend my days going to mervyn's to argue with the sales staff in a thick brusque eastern european accent.
it seems to be the thing to do.
hell yes to $30 levis that my butt look like mama gave me something to sit on.
i just noticed ben p.'s review.
there's also something about mervyn's that makes dudes conscious of their butts.
This was my home base for the first month I was in the city.
All the rooms have microwaves and fridges and Cala and Whole Foods are a quick walk, as are all of the TenderNob faves along Polk St.
And the hookers in the area are very friendly.
In spite of my breaking every single drinking rule last night,
you decided to be the "zoned out " variety instead of the "rotting inside my skin" style.
Adam B. and I ate the hell out of this place one night.
I'm pretty sure we* ordered everything on the menu,
and it was all fantastic.
And easily the best amaebi heads I've ever had.
shrimp heads. . .
I grew up on truck stop coffee.
Now that I'm old and tough,
I'm all about Fraunch presses.
Their knowledgeable staff stuffs my press pot* with choice selections from a wide variety of excellent organic coffees and they insist on serving it with a pitcher of cream and a bowl of sugar, though I can't understand why anyone would want to dilute this chalky nectar.
*that sounds kinda dirty. heheheh.
A couple of weeks ago, Mama Q got poison ivy.
Apparently, "Wow. Sucks to be you." did not come across with the heartfelt sympathy with which it was intended.
So I hit up Michael and Tom for a bouquet to repair the damage.
I was forgiven for pretty much everything I've ever done,
and that's a lot, considering that she was still upset that I wouldn't ride the red bike she and my dad got me when I was 6 (I got teased; I was a sensitive child). Seriously. Still pissed.
But not any more.
