Stopped here on our way thru town because it's so highly rated on yelp and now we know why- ITS SO GOOOOD!! Garlic fries are not greasy, burgers are huge and so tasty, pesto chicken quesadilla is fabulous for kids and adults; even their house salad was good! Wine list is sophisticated and well-rounded with pairing ideas. Cool historic old building downtown too.
Will totally come back again when passing thru!!
Billy does great work, he installed a new slider for us and trimmed it out, even working around a granite counter top that cut through the trim and making it all look really nice. He also gave us a fair price for replacing our redwood deck and did a fabulous job (see picture 3 above) while keeping to the deadline we had of a backyard party that following weekend. We would definitely recommend Billywood.
This is the place that the Beach Boardwalk tells you to have your kids' party. I just wanted a place for our group to meet, have lunch, birthday cake and then head over to the Boardwalk together; we didn't want to bowl. The woman I spoke with suggested we just make a reservation for our group of 20 in Coasters Cafe, which is basically, the Bar & Grill attached to the bowling alley. After reading other reviews about what a divey party spot this is, I was really worried about where I was sending my friends and their kids to meet us. BUT it was great- Coasters is totally adequate as a pizzeria/cafe and it's all very family friendly during the day. We had the Giants game on, beer for the parents and I brought a party table cloth, put a few tables together with some balloons and Voila- I had a kids birthday party!
The Staff were super helpful and nice and the food was SERIOUSLY tasty. We all liked it, even my very particular mother had no complaints ;0)
The only thing I have to say is that you could smell the mens' bathroom before you could see it, so i took my 6 year old boy into the cleaner women's restroom with me. But otherwise, we'd totally recommend it for family lunch or small party.
I went with my Groupon for the Royal Mani/Pedi and I have definitely had better! The girls were totally impersonal and acted like they could care less if I was there at all. Now, I dont like a lot of chit chat during my salon visits, but you could at least tell me what you're doing, especially when you put bags of purple goop on my hands and feet. It felt nice, but i had to ask what it was and what the purpose of the treatment is. Then they seemed so happy to have me tied up with nothing to do but sit and wait so they could get back to shoe shopping online at the front desk. They could have atleast offered a magazine or something to look at while i sat. Now 3 days later, my manicure is totally chipping and for some reason i can see where the top coat was sloppily applied at my cuticles.
Won't be back...ever
When I called only about 2-3 weeks prior to my reservation date to book a limo bus Al gave me a great deal and even upgraded me to one slightly bigger and much nicer than what I had asked for. The driver was on time and friendly, a little odd, but nice enough. The limo bus was nicer than I expected and clean. The only suggestion i would have would be that they have a place to stick your cooller(s) so people arent tripping over them in the bus.
It would have also been nice if our driver was a little more laid back, like about driving people home after for cash etc. But he was about as cool as the Chess-Club Treasurer who moonlights as a Hall-Moniter.
Despite those 2 minor issues, we all had a great time and i dont feel like i got ripped off- so all in all, I'd recommend them.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Caffe Roma! I work nearby and my friends and i love to go for lunch and sit in the sun eating totally good salads and sandwiches. The staff know us by name and know our drinks. I always top off my lunch with an affogato because they make it exactly how I want it. Totally good coffee, breakfast , lunch and atmosphere.
I read a bunch of reviews before selecting a shop close to my office for a minor repair. Hanson's had the best reviews (minus only one bad one, but you can't please everyone) and when I called they sealed the deal by being the most friendly and accomodating right off the bat. Other shops in the area were unwelcoming (to a potential customer?!?), and not accomodating. When i told peter how soon i needed the fix, he made sure to get it done with plenty of time to spare and for a totally reasonable price. Him and his wife are incredibly friendly and I'm sure I'll be back for my next auto body repair.
