I went in for the first time not knowing what to expect. Ava did my eyelashes and she did them exactly how I wanted them, full but natural looking! She's really patient too and kept fixing any eyelashes were even slightly clumped together. On top of that, I've been pretty active, going to hot yoga daily, but they've held up well!! Definitely worth the money!
I went here with my dad and although the food was pretty good, the server's attitude towards my dad just ruined the experience. He was very short with us from the very start, did not explain things well and on top of that, I caught him complaining about my dad to the kitchen staff twice. I almost asked him to lower his voice because he was practically yelling at my dad. To top that off, my dad ordered a cocktail with a lime and they added an excessive amount of lime juice. He asked for it to be made with real lime instead of lime juice (even though he clearly specified the first time he ordered) the waiter returned with a very cloudy "vodka and soda". We assumed that he added another substance to cover up the taste of the lime juice instead of remaking it like he should have, but my dad drank it despite how awful it tasted. Since it was pretty apparent that customer satisfaction was not a priority for this server, we just wanted to finish our meal and leave.
This place changed my life. All their classes that they offer, and most of their teachers, are just phenomenal. Especially in their C2 and sculpt classes, they change up the sequences so you never end up doing the same flow over and over. They have just the right amount of heat and humidity for their C2 classes that make it different from the other studios. I love the instructors; they genuinely care about you and help you with anything you want to improve on. Their adjustments, feedback and positive attitudes brighten up your day every time you go in. Not only does it tone up your body on the outside, but it also makes you a stronger, kinder person on the inside. I'm a true believer.
This place is known for their nails, but my review is specifically for their eyebrow tattoo service. This is the second time I've gotten it and I swear it's even better than the last time I had it done. Miyuki has done them both times and she is extremely talented at what she does. She does the brow tattoo differently than other places. She uses a tool that allows her to draw in individual hair-like lines on your eyebrow. Yes, it hurts, but it is so worth it. Definitely better than the other types of eyebrow tattoos where it looks like you drew your eyebrows on with a sharpie. It looks so natural that people are amazed when I tell them that I had them tattooed. Comes with one touch up and the tattoo itself lasts for 4-5 years before becoming pretty light. I will be back!
Awesome concept of gourmet tacos, but I wasn't too impressed with the tacos themselves. I had the beef tongue, wild mushrooms and korean b.b.q. tacos which were recommended by the server (really nice). All the tacos were juicy and the meat was cooked just right, but I felt like both the korean b.b.q. and beef tongue tacos were lacking flavor. My favorite was the wild mushroom tacos which had fried chick peas in it that added an awesome texture to the taco. However overall, I felt like the price for the quality and portion size of the tacos were not worth it.
I've been here a couple of times, and both times their tacos were phenomenal. Service was great, and their micheladas are the best I've ever had. Now why 4 stars? Yelp doesn't allow .5 stars and their tacos are slightly overpriced. My favorites are the maple fried chicken tacos, tangy and sweet with purple kale that perfectly compliments the chicken, and the thai-style braised pork belly with peanuts and banana which has many layers of flavors that will make you want to keep ordering more. The sweet corn is also good, definitely takes carnival corn to another level. The yuzu pork and crispy rock tacos were just alright. Their churros were pretty good too but when I'm in the churro mood, I'll probably stick with Del Taco. Not to be taken as an insult, they just happen to have really good churros there.
I had dinner and drinks there with a friend last night, and it's one of the best dinners I've had in a long, long time. We had the stuffed mushrooms and truffle fries for appetizers and shared the Venison Osso Bucco. This was my first time eating venison, but the meat just fell apart and was cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the pumpkin creme brulee. It was divine. Seriously better than any creme brulees I've had in the past. I ordered this tequila and honey drink and the white sangria. Both were delicious! Hard to come by a place with good food, good drinks and good service. Can't wait to go back!!
I love this place! Their fish is always fresh and you get a lot for what you pay for. If you sit at the sushi bar, the sushi chefs will customize your sushi, adding any toppings you want. The only complaint would be that their rolls are pretty limited but honestly I usually come here only for sushi and sashimi. One plus about the rolls is that they use real crab instead of imitation crab! It really makes a difference!
Everything we had was pretty good. The burger that my brother ordered was huge and delicious. Mike's mess which is an egg scramble that comes with rosemary potatoes was really good. My mom's pancakes were slightly burnt, and not very good. Overall the food an service were both good so we will be back!
