We are locals and decided to stop in for a bite to eat after the movies.....GOOD DECISION!
Mr. had angel hair with clam sauce.....rated 4 out of 5
Ms. had eggplant parm...rated 5 out of 5
Waitress was pleasant and helpful.....Bringing us TWO freshly baked loaves of bread, accompanied by olive and garlic...Delicious.
We have eaten here four times and haven't been disappointed!
Go......YOU won't regret it!
Had dinner there tonight, had pizza and it was good. I wouldn't say it was the best I ever had, but certainly respectible. I live nearby so this is convenient so I do come reasonably frequently. Never had a truly bad meal. Always ok, and burgers are quite good.
We stayed one just one night! It is a great place. We have stayed next door on at least 3-4 occasions but would never stay there again! The difference is night and day! Isabelle's is far superior in every way! Breakfast, rooms, charm, cookies, coffee all day, size of rooms and decoration, everything was all tastefully done. We will be back and already thinking about just when?
Also may consider winter visit, they are open year round. Wouldn't it be great to come sit by the woodstove and smell the wood-burning with the chocolate chip cookies on the table? They are open year round.
Isabell is a great hostess. She knows how to run a B and B. We also had a wonderful swim across the street. The guests we met all rave about the place.

Very unpleasant experience! Paid bill with card, when bill came back authorized, I signed it leaving a tip and walked out! As soon as I left, waitress chased me outside telling me I didn't sign slip, which 3 others at table acknowledge that I did because we discussed the tip. The waitress brought me to manager who also insisted I didn't sign. They both "Swear to God" I didn't sign and I didn't even see him in the restaurant. So after a decent meal, a horrible follow up will preclude me, a local, from visiting again!! Sorry Ocean Edge you need to watch your employees attitudes! Very poor PR!
We've stayed at the Capricorn house on two prior occasions and we enjoyed it. The main reason was that we had one of the two rooms with a balcony which overlook the beach. Because of the wonderful deck to the outside, the price seemed to be less important. The ability to sit outside with some privacy made me overlook the price. Without that wonderful benefit the Inn is mediocre at best. It is very expensive and the breakfast, continental or not, is very basic as others have indicated and the rooms are very small. Well I wouldn't care about any of the other things, however the price of the room coupled with the lack of benefits make it a poor choice for the price.
Needless to say I wouldn't stay there again. At $235 for an 8 x 8 room, a bathroom that I, at 5'6" can't stand up in to shave (and sideways no less) and no view, it hardly makes economic sense!
I might add that many of the other reviews are right on the money!
Actually I was shocked by the price of the room. I didn't realize how expensive it was until I had a room without a balcony! In fact, I did mention it to the owner. And there was no response other than that is the price of the room! That may be the case, but the room is not worth the price! We were there on a supposedly special arrangement of three nights for the price of two, to me that is no bargain.
On trip advisor I gave it two stars but after seeing owners inaccurate response, I decided 1 star is the best I could do.
Wait staff, excellent. Food was good, I wouldn't say great however. We were a party of 5 and a party of 7 snuck in before us because they were regulars, but that was Joey's call!
Going to Grille ? which has regular 5 stars
