Yummy-eee went there for the first time ever!! I looked on YELP! For pizza places open & did take-out & Farm Star was close by. I have driven by FS for 2 yrs and never stopped.
We had the Dairy Maid with pepperoni...the website said all pies are 14" and weigh a LB. It was OMG delicious!!
At $16.00 canT beat the homemade goodness & fresh ingredients.
Though this was take-out, there was a couple ahead of me tasting the on-tap beer including a Farm Star Blonde that the man chose, the wife chose wine.
There was a family of 5 enjoying two pies & another couple enjoying a pizza and beer.
Highly recommended & questioning myself how did it take me so long!!!!
Much cheaper & BETTER than RT & Papa Murphy's.
4 stars because the food prep took forever, and toast came out about 5-7 min after the rest of our meal.
Waitress was pleasant, she was the ONLY waitress but it is the off-season. Prob 3/4 tables occupied, 2 people at counter. A couple people came in for to-go orders, which we should have done given it took about 20- 30 minutes to get our order.
Boyfriend had "scrambled" eggs that came in a flat circle, prob scrambles pre-mixed eggs your pour in a pan but the 2 slices bacon were huge & yummy. The hashbrowns were decent but looked and tasted like oreida frozen from a bag.
I had a nice ham & cheddar omelet made with the pre-made eggs above, it came with country potatoes that were nicely done. Like i mentioned the sourdough toast came much later.
I come from the country not the city so i wasn't expecting anything fancy. Portions were good especially for the price, we both left food on the plates.
When we paid i got a chocolate filled pastry for 1.25$ which would be +2$ anywhere else.
They have an expresso bar, soft drinks & beer & wine on the menu. The lunch menu looked good.
I've been coming to the area since 1982, but usually keep to the peninsula area & prepare most of our meals, but its nice to go out every once in a while. We will probably try lunch next time we are up.
Again the waitress Jessica, which they kept yelling to from the kitchen when orders were up was nice & made sure we had what we needed. She prob could of used a little more help up front.
Ordered carne asada burrito for my teenage son, he loved it & it was a pretty good size. I ordered steak fajitas, it came with rice & beans & 3 small corn tortillas. I was going to buy a mandarin jarrittos, but it was $2.75!!
It was a to-go order. I called it in, they said 10 min & it was ready when i got there! They have a separate cashier for to-go orders which is very convenient because they are known to get get pretty busy.
I have been to Sol a number of times over the last 3 yrs and have not been disappointed. Alcohol is a more little pricey than most places serving it from a fridge straight from the case. There is a nice facility they use for larger groups & i believe there is a separate bar in there, but i have never entered.
Over all I like Sol, the food is good, the price is reasonable for the portions served. Alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages are way over-priced!
There is pleasant patio dining as well as inside seating.
April and her crew are the nicest! I love her wraps and sandwiches! Always friendly when I come in or when I order for a board meeting to be delivered! I love her tuna and egg salad but everything is pretty dang good!
Wait staff very friendly, sat outside on a nice Labor day wkend afternoon. Food is Creole. We had Huevos Especial, to die for Mole sauce & BF had bacon eggs potatoes & eggs w side of corn bread. 4 mimosas were $29 my only complaint. Portions are huge so come hungry. Would def eat here again!
We went to get dinner & watch the SF Giants game. The bar/Restaurant upstairs was full, we waited about 10 min for a couple to finish & were instantly seated. Then better seats opened up & we were able to move. Split the chicken saltimbocca w pesto rice & yummy roasted veggies and a caesar dinner salad. There was a little too much dressing but over all the dinner was tasty. The only down side is i ordered a glass of wine & after 15 min I had to order it again from a different server as it never appeared. Over all the people were very nice, food was good & priced reasonably. Would def go there again!
This is for the frosty and miniature golf course...
1st the Frosty, we have gone there over the years and it's varied...but this summer we've been there for 4 breakfasts & 2 dinners.
Breakfast: huge breakfast burritos that can be easily split. I've also had their sausage egg breakfast sandwich. I think they are pricey but it's always good & can't beat the location across the lake.
Dinner & beer garden #nuffsaid ... Seriously same as breakfast, healthy portions & $$.
The 3 teenage boys 13, 14 & 15 played miniature golf...$3 for 9 holes, $5 for 18. Challenging but they had a blast!
First- the staff, especially Kathleen are amazing, so friendly!
2nd, I've never had a bad meal, one of my favorites is the Mediterranean Salmon...but anything I've ordered I've enjoyed. My boyfriend & I split a prime rib #ToDieFor. They have a great dining patio at the main dining room & small one next to the pub.
We like to order dinner & watch the Giants game, play pool & listen to music. Great place for family dining as well.
This past weekend, my GF and I split the salmon, the 3 boys had hamburgers; Gorgonzola, pub cheeseburger & bacon & egg burger. They drank endless sodas, I had 2 on-tap Icky IPA & my GF had a Stella...total bill $98.
Can't go wrong with the Red Onion!
We stopped in hoping to get a table before the game. Even though we didn't have a reservation they fit us in if we took no longer than an hour which was absolutely perfect. Two bloody mary 's, Eggs Benedict (a little under done ) & Mexican scramble with Fruit sides. Quick service and very friendly!! $60 for two of us. Even one free bloody since there was an "extra" the waitress offered she accidentally had ordered from another table. Their loss my gain!
