This modest little restaurant has an extensive menu of Peruvian Chinese food. I finally decided to give menu item # 44 a try, which was the Cau Cau de Mariscos. This is a delcious hot plate of rice, diced potatoes, calamari, shrimp, mussels, basil, and peas in a delicate saucy broth. The seafood was very fresh and was cooked perfectly.
Service was fast and friendly. These are people who work hard and take pride in their business.
Looking forward to trying something from the Lunch Special menu which several Yelpers have mentioned.
San Carlo has delicious food.
We especially like the pastrami sub, which has the most delicious pastrami on a fresh roll with mustard and pickles.
The San Carlo pizza is also a stand out. The pizza dough is thick with a wonderful chewy texture. On top of the mozzarella are pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, bell pepper, and onions.
Also, the Italian beef sandwich with red sauce is so flavorful.
The atmosphere here is comfortable. They do have a few tables and chairs. Many come here for food to go.
You get personal service, as well as polite interaction with everyone behind the deli counter.
Taco Tuesday for 99 cents is fantastic. I recommend the shredded beef taco. You can also chose chicken or ground beef. The tacos are delicious, and you cannot beat the price!
The chicken enchiladas, beef enchiladas, & taquitos are also very tasty.
Service used to be better in the past. I hope that this is a temporary lapse and that service will snap back to the way it used to be.
Delicious healthy food at a reasonable price. There is a special going on now. If you order the chicken bowl, you get a free drink.
The chicken bowl, as well as the chicken with veggie bowl, are delicious. You can choose white or brown rice, with the option of green onions.
Be sure to help yourself to the sauces and jalapeno slices in the condiment area.
Nice bright location that is very clean and well kept.
Fast service with a smile!
Love the two meat plate of chopped brisket and pulled pork. Can choose 2 sides to accompany your meat selection. I recommend the jalapeno beans and the fried onion tanglers. The meat plate also comes with a roll, a couple of raw onion rings, and a couple of dill pickle slices.
You can even help yourself to free soft serve ice cream in the self serve beverage area. Dickie's provides both ice cream cones and little ice cream cups.
The workers are friendly and work hard at keeping the place clean.
Dickie's is a nice casual place to hang out and enjoy some good food.
The burrito bowl with steak is a great alternative to a burrito. Basically the inedible paper bowl replaces the tortilla. Therefore, a few less calories, a few less carbohydrates, but all the yumminess!
Admittedly, the tortilla is delicious, especially the spinach tortilla and the cayenne pepper tortilla.
I recommend the steak as your protein, though the carnitas is also yummy. The steak and the carnitas are both more flavorful than the chicken.
Also, ask for both the pinto beans and the black beans in your bowl (or your burrito). The grilled vegetables, as well as the spanish rice, really taste great in the bowl or burrito.
The staff is very efficient and friendly.
There is an outdoor eating area, as well indoor seating.
Mandarin Deli has the best pan fried meat dumplings. Also, the scallion pancakes are exceptional.
For the courageous, try the large cold cut plate, which is an assortment of sliced beef, tofu, tendon, sliced hard boiled egg, radish, and various sliced organ meats. The large cold cut plate has the largest variety of the sliced offerings. If you order small or medium, you do not get as much variety on your plate of goodies.
The beef noodle soup with the hand made noodles is really delicious. Be sure to ask for "the hand made noodles". These noodles are thicker and flat. If you do not ask for the hand made noodles, you noodles will be more like spaghetti with a larger diameter.
Great place for take out!
Been going here since 1960s. The lamb sandwich is the best. Make sure to ask to get your sandwich double dipped. The lemonade is a great beverage to accompany this meal. Don't forget to get the chocolate cream pie. It has the best crust. The chocolate is not too sweet. This is one of the famous places to eat in Los Angeles.
